Katie Price has been warned by fans after promoted illegal CBD products while in Dubai on Monday.
The 47-year-old former model, who was previously criticized for allegedly using deceptive tactics to sell the oil, shared details about her own personal use of the products.
In a video posted to Instagram, she explained that Katie immediately started filming herself advertising CBD products from Supreme CBD after arriving at the location.
I’m back in Dubai! I really enjoy it here, but I definitely miss having my CBD oil with me.
I’m always going to sleep worse when I can’t use my oil—a lot of people assume it’s a drug, but it’s not. If you’d like to try it, you can use my discount code, Katie40, for 40% off.
Sharing their thoughts on Reddit, social media users wrote: ‘Katie still playing with fire.’
People also noted that Katie arrived in Dubai and quickly began posting videos promoting CBD products, even mentioning her location.
Honestly, I’m a little surprised to see her advertising CBD products from Dubai again. It just feels like some people operate by a different set of rules, doesn’t it? As someone who keeps up with these things, it raises an eyebrow – there are often regulations around promoting these types of products, and it’s curious to see them seemingly overlooked.
Daily Mail has contacted Katie Price’s representative for comment.
Cannabis oil is against the law in the UAE, which has a strict policy of zero tolerance towards all drugs – including actions like selling, buying, or simply having it.
The UK government warns that certain skincare items and e-cigarette liquids may contain ingredients banned in the UAE, like CBD oil. Bringing these products into the country could result in them being seized, and you could even face legal penalties.
Katie faced criticism last year after supporting boxer Anthony Fowler’s statement that CBD oil had cured his child’s tumor.
Okay, so she seriously used Anthony’s personal story – his story! – to promote some CBD stuff. It was all over X, and honestly, it felt so wrong. And the worst part? She had a special code for people to use, which meant she was making money off of it. I was just horrified seeing that, like, using someone’s life for profit? It just doesn’t sit right with me at all.
Both Katie and Olympic athlete Anthony faced criticism for promoting the product, with some calling their endorsements irresponsible.
The boxer shared last year that his three-year-old daughter, Roma, was diagnosed with a tumor, and he had been using CBD oil to help manage her condition.
In separate posts, he boasted about refusing chemotherapy for his child.
Katie later added that Anthony’s daughter had recovered after the family chose not to seek medical care at a hospital.
Oh my gosh, you guys, I just read the most incredible thing! Srena Stregapede and Anthony Fowler – I’m such a fan of theirs! – had their little daughter, who’s only two, diagnosed with a tumor in her leg. But get this – they didn’t take her to the hospital! They actually healed her themselves! It’s just…amazing. I’m seriously blown away by their dedication and belief in their methods. It’s a miracle!
Currently, there’s no proof that CBD, an oil extracted from the cannabis plant, can effectively treat or cure cancer.
You can legally purchase some CBD products in health stores as food supplements. However, the NHS warns that the quality and ingredients of CBD products bought online are uncertain, and these products might be illegal or unsafe.
The NHS recognizes CBD may offer health benefits, but cautions that the quality of CBD products, even those from health stores, isn’t always assured.
As a long-time user, I’ve learned that this oil can sometimes change how other medications I’m taking work, so it’s really important to always talk to my doctor or a specialist before combining it with any other treatments. They can make sure everything stays safe and effective.
Doctors would also need to monitor users regularly because it can affect the liver.
Katie seemed thrilled to be traveling to Dubai on Saturday evening to see her husband, Lee Andrews.
Oh my gosh, I just saw her at Gatwick! She looked absolutely incredible, getting ready to fly business class – can you believe it?! – to meet up with her boyfriend. I was practically starstruck, seriously! It was amazing to see her in person, even just for a moment. I’ve been following her for years, and she’s even more stunning in real life!
She first had a non-legal ceremony with the 42-year-old businessman just weeks after they met. Then, she had a second, official wedding. This surprised and worried her fans and family, as there were reports that the businessman was involved in scams.
Despite portraying himself as a successful businessman, reports from the Daily Mail show that Andrews was actually barred from leaving Dubai. He had been held in a UAE jail for three weeks, accused of forging his former girlfriend’s signature to obtain a £200,000 loan.
Ever since their wedding he has made various claims that he will return to the UK to be with her.
Just recently, Andrews revealed he’s signed up for OnlyFans, even though he’d previously stated he was a billionaire.
