Pink spent Sunday as a proud mom, taking her daughter Willow, who loves the theater, to the premiere of ‘The Lost Boys’ musical on Broadway at the Palace Theatre in New York City.
The 46-year-old singer held her 14-year-old daughter’s hand for photos, then embraced her warmly.
Pink stepped out in her signature edgy look, sporting a black leather jacket adorned with silver stars. She wore it open, revealing a hint of décolletage.
The singer, known for her hit ‘I’m Not Dead,’ completed her outfit with a long black skirt and styled her platinum blonde hair in her trademark pompadour.
Willow clearly takes after her famous mother, and looked incredibly elegant in a strapless red dress.
Pink and her husband, Carey Hart, decided to move their family to New York City because their daughter is a big fan of theatre and they wanted her to have the opportunity to see more Broadway shows.
Last month, the couple, along with their children Willow and nine-year-old Jameson, went to see the Broadway musical & Juliet at the Stephen Sondheim Theatre.
Last week, while filling in as host on The Kelly Clarkson Show, Willow performed a duet with her mother, singing “Hopeless War” from the Broadway musical The Outsiders, and clearly demonstrated she’s inherited some impressive musical talent.
On the show, the singer explained their recent move to New York City, saying it was partly because she wants to be a great mom, and also to give her daughter, Willow, the opportunity to pursue theater and experience Broadway.
The Lost Boys: A New Musical is inspired by the 1987 film of the same name, which starred Kiefer Sutherland, Corey Haim, Dianne Wiest, Jason Patric, Jami Gertz, and Corey Feldman.
The musical features Shoshana Bean, a two-time Tony Award nominee, as Lucy, a divorced mother who relocates to Santa Carla with her teenage sons, Michael and Sam, hoping for a new beginning.
When Michael falls in with a group of cool bikers who are secretly vampires, Sam must join forces with two people who claim to be vampire hunters to rescue his brother.
The show’s direction comes from Tony Award-winning director Michael Arden. The music and lyrics are created by the rock band The Rescues, and the story is written by David Hornsby and Chris Hoch.
Pink recently appeared on Broadway with her daughter following a public disagreement online. She responded strongly to rumors that she and her husband, Carey, had separated.
Reports surfaced in February that after 20 years of marriage, she and the 50-year-old motocross star had split for the second time.
The singer strongly criticized the report in a passionate video posted to Instagram, urging people to focus on the details of the Epstein case rather than her personal life.
I just found out my husband and I are separated – thanks to People and Us Weekly magazines! I hadn’t known until they told me.
Should I also let your kids know? Your fourteen and nine-year-olds haven’t heard yet. Or would you prefer to discuss something else?
Would you like to discuss the Epstein files, issues of systemic racism, or problems with sexism in sports? Are you interested in hearing about what I’ve achieved, or are you only focused on my downfall?
She wrote with the video: ‘As I always say, don’t believe everything you hear unless it comes directly from me. But stay tuned – you never know what might happen!’
Pink and Carey began dating in 2001, with a few breaks, and eventually got married in Costa Rica in January 2006.
I was so surprised when I heard they separated after two years together! It actually inspired one of Pink’s biggest hits, ‘So What,’ which was amazing. What really struck me, though, was how well they handled it – Carey even appeared in the ‘So What’ music video, showing everyone they could still be friends even after everything. It was a really classy move, honestly.
In 2009, the couple decided to work things out and ended their separation. Mariah Carey explained to People magazine that they were focused on rebuilding their relationship, adding, ‘Sometimes you need to take a break to move forward.’
Reports of trouble in their relationship surfaced in September when they were seen in New York City looking strained and without their wedding rings.
As a lifestyle observer, I noticed some chatter online when Pink didn’t publicly mention her 20th wedding anniversary back in January. It was a bit of a surprise, especially considering how beautifully she celebrated their anniversary just a year prior – a really touching tribute, actually! It definitely made people wonder what was going on.
Last year, the popular singer posted a cheerful selfie of them skiing together, both warmly dressed for the cold, and wrote a touching message about Carey.
She recalled that nineteen years ago, on a Costa Rican beach, they both took a leap of faith they weren’t even sure was possible. She expressed her happiness that they did, noting she’d spent more of her life with him than without.
You’ve always been there for me, through thick and thin. You’ve seen all sides of me, and still loved me. I cherish everything we’ve been through together – the good, the bad, and everything in between. It’s a beautiful, complicated story, and I’m so grateful to have you in my life. I love you always, @hartluck.
