I’m so excited! 2026 marks the start of a huge year-long party celebrating the original movie! And to go along with it, they’re re-releasing classic figures of all the robots – both Autobots and Decepticons – who appeared in that awesome film, even if they only had a small part!
New photos have been released of the Transformers Studio Series 86 Deluxe Cliffjumper, Voyager Cyclonus, and Leader Blitzwing figures, which will be available for pre-order shortly. These are updated versions of older figures, highlighting characters from The Transformers: The Movie. This group is part of a larger series of collectible toys being released this year, and one Decepticon jet is getting a lot of attention with several new versions being produced.
Transformers Studio Series Re-Rolls Out Action Figures for 40th Anniversary Milestone

The Transformers Studio Series 86 Deluxe Cliffjumper is based on the recent Bumblebee figure from the same line, drawing on their shared history from the original Generation 1 Transformers. He transforms from a robot into a Porsche 924 Carrera GTR-inspired vehicle, though it’s a slightly stylized and unofficial version.
The design and colors are inspired by his appearance in the original cartoon and the movie it spawned. He features a head sculpt that stays true to the animation, and his only accessory is a blaster.
The Voyager Class Cyclonus figure is an updated version of the Transformers: War for Cybertron: Kingdom toy. It includes a new head, elbows, blaster, and legs to more closely resemble his appearance in the animated series. This version features his signature, energy-based weapon, and, like the original, transforms into a Cybertronian jet.
Leader Class Blitzwing is a large Decepticon who can transform into three different forms: a robot, a jet, and a tank. This version is a recolor of his earlier Transformers: Legacy toy, with colors more closely matching the original cartoon. He also comes with lots of weapons and accessories, including two blasters, a sword, two gauntlets, and two fists that can combine to become missile launchers or boosters.
Cyclonus, Scourge, and the Sixgun all appeared in The Transformers: The Movie. While many new characters were introduced, Cyclonus stood out as a significant Decepticon. He’s often seen alongside Galvatron and Scourge and remains a fan favorite from the later seasons of the original Transformers series, so it’s exciting that new versions of the characters are being released.
I’ve learned that three new figures from the Transformers Studio Series line will be available for pre-order on April 28th through Hasbro Pulse. They’re part of a larger wave of releases and re-releases the company is doing to celebrate something special.
