Following the I’m A Celebrity finale, Adam Thomas’ wife, Caroline, publicly criticized David Haye and Jimmy Bullard, calling them a ‘pack of vultures’ in a strong statement.
Adam, 37, was crowned the winner of I’m A Celebrity South Africa after a dramatic and emotional final episode. He appeared visibly moved as he received the title of ‘Jungle Legend’.
This year’s All Stars series has been filled with conflict, including reports of bullying and disagreements between cast members Adam, Jimmy, and David Haye.
In the show’s final moments, Jimmy claimed that Adam had been ‘abusive, aggressive, and intimidating’ during a heated argument that was filmed last year.
Boxer David added to the ongoing conflict with Adam, following recent critical comments he made earlier this week.
After the events unfolded, Adam’s wife, Caroline, expressed her shock and stated that good people are ultimately rewarded, not overlooked.
What should have been a happy celebration quickly became a disturbing scene, like watching vultures descend on prey.
I was shocked by the awful behavior I witnessed on national television last night. It was completely inappropriate for what’s meant to be a family-friendly and cheerful program.
That was absolutely not enjoyable, and it certainly wasn’t playful joking. As a wife, I’m heartbroken and will never forget the pain of watching my husband endure that.
Despite feeling deeply hurt, Adam managed to remain calm and find the strength to defend himself, as he always did.
Congratulations, my dear! I’m so proud of you for staying true to who you are. You didn’t just win the show, you won the hearts of everyone watching!
You were a wonderful role model, demonstrating the qualities of a truly good person. You lived with grace, kindness, and honesty, and showed everyone how to raise children with strong values and a generous spirit.
She finished her enthusiastic post by saying Adam will announce his win on ‘I’m A Celebrity…’ when he feels the time is right.
I’ve been following this story closely, and it’s really heartbreaking. Just after Adam shared with his fans that working on the series was incredibly difficult – he actually said it ‘nearly broke me’ – his partner has now spoken out too. It’s a reminder that even success can come at a real personal cost, and it’s so important to prioritize mental health.
He shared a happy photo on Instagram with Caroline, the mother of his two children, 11-year-old Teddy and 7-year-old Elsie-Rose.
He wrote about facing life’s challenges by following his heart, no matter how difficult things became. He admitted it wasn’t easy, and there were times he almost gave up, but he remained true to himself, something he deeply values.
He continued, explaining that he’d learned a valuable lesson: when someone tries to bring you down, it reveals more about their own character than about you. This experience surprisingly showed him just how strong he is – not through any awards or status, but simply by remaining kind, humble, and true to himself.
Seriously, family is my whole world, and my wife… she’s just everything. Today’s her birthday, and I just want everyone to know how incredible she is. She’s been my absolute rock, always there for me, especially when things got really rough. She always knew how to pick me up and remind me who I was, even when I’d forgotten. Honestly, I wouldn’t be the person I am today if it wasn’t for her. She’s just… perfect.
Adam went on to express his gratitude to everyone who had supported, believed in, and shown him love, saying their kindness meant the world to him. He also stated he held no ill feelings towards those who doubted or tried to hinder him.
You know, I feel like I’ve already achieved what truly counts. I’m surrounded by love, I genuinely feel happy, and most importantly, I’ve remained true to who I am. That’s a feeling of peace no one can ever take away, and I really hope you experience that same kind of fulfillment someday.
Things got chaotic during the live finale when Gemma Collins and Sinitta angrily walked off stage, and hosts Ant and Dec had trouble regaining control.
I was shocked when I heard about the fallout between Jimmy and Adam. Apparently, Adam used a really awful slur – the ‘C-word’ – during a huge argument that led to the show being cancelled prematurely last year. It was awful, but it did give Jimmy a chance to finally share his side of the story, which I was glad to see.
Jimmy explained he was leaving the show due to personal issues and wouldn’t be fully compensated if he didn’t say the show’s catchphrase during a challenge.
Jimmy acknowledged he upset people, especially Adam, and admitted he made a mistake by blaming someone else. However, he firmly stated he won’t tolerate abusive, aggressive, or intimidating behavior.
Jimmy asked Ant and Dec for their take on the situation, pointing out that they had been present but hadn’t included any of the relevant footage.
‘You didn’t show any of the C-bombs, it’s a liberty’, Jimmy fumed.
Ant explained they didn’t broadcast the offensive word because it’s not allowed on air. He added that he was present during the incident and didn’t find it threatening, repeating to Jim that he was there to witness it firsthand.
Adam stated he fully accepts responsibility for what happened, and acknowledged that strong emotions were involved at the time.
I truly care about Jimmy and feel for him. I’ve apologized to him many times, and I’m listening to his concerns. All I can do now is offer my sincere apologies again.
I wasn’t happy with how I came across, and I’ve never presented myself that way before or since. I apologize, Jimmy.
Adam recently shared on his podcast, ‘At Home With The Thomas Bros,’ that he’s been in therapy to deal with the impact of his public disagreement with boxer David Haye, saying it had a very negative effect on him.
Adam became emotional and explained that the experience felt like being back in school, facing a different kind of harassment. He clarified it wasn’t physical bullying, but rather a manipulative and psychologically damaging experience.
Honestly, looking back, my biggest regret about that whole situation is not speaking up for myself. I kept quiet, and it’s haunted me ever since. It wasn’t the actual hardship that bothered me the most, but the fact that I didn’t defend myself – that’s what really weighed me down.
Honestly, seeing him talk about it… it just gets me. He’s so right, you know? He’s completely different. He said it himself – going into the jungle and coming out… it wasn’t the same person. And he wasn’t exaggerating, not even a little bit. It genuinely changed him. It’s amazing to see how much, and it’s so real when he says it.
I’m now seeing a therapist because this whole situation has really messed with my head. I keep thinking, ‘How could this be happening to me? I’m a grown man.’ I’m struggling with the fact that I’m letting someone else have this kind of impact on my well-being.
David has repeatedly criticized Adam, even making an offensive comment on social media and alleging Adam earned between £20,000 and £25,000 per day for being on the ITV show.
Viewers complained about the boxer’s behavior towards Adam after he explained he was leaving the ‘Termite Terror’ challenge due to health concerns.
Adam, living with psoriatic arthritis, informed his fellow contestants that he wasn’t feeling up to competing.
