The shocking truth about the Dancing Tree of Wisdom from The Wiggles
The “Dancing Tree of Wisdom,” famed for its moves on The Wiggles, now reigns as web celebrity, yet remains relatively obscure, being referred to as a hidden beneficiary of family connections.
The individual concealed by a costume, named Dominic Field, has unexpectedly gained fame as a web sensation, primarily due to his renowned dance routines. This popularity has led to him amassing vast numbers of dedicated admirers.
Yet, it took many fans by surprise when he disclosed during a television interview on Friday that he had hidden links to the Wiggles family empire.
On Channel Seven’s The Morning Show, Dominic shared that his dad had served for a significant period as the head of a well-known children’s organization.
In another very unexpected link, his uncle is also the original Blue Wiggle, Anthony Field.
Dominic isn’t just related to Anthony through family within The Wiggles; his daughter, Lucia Field, who also sings for the television program, portrays the Blue Wiggle, much like her dad does.
Now, Dominic shares his experiences about living near the renowned children’s group prior to becoming a part of it personally.
‘Music was always a part of our family,’ he said on The Morning Show.
‘Every Christmas and family get-together was a performance for our grandma really.
‘We all have to sing. My sister has to do Irish dancing. We all have our roles.’
Dominic is the offspring of Paul Field, a previous frontman for the ’80s pop band The Cockroaches and a long-term manager of the Wiggles, which was initially established in 1991.
Larry Emdur, a co-host on The Morning Show, inquired about Dominic’s past ambitions: Was it your longtime dream to be part of The Wiggles, or did you eventually grow weary of your dad’s influence during your youth?
To this, Dominic responded: ‘Not at all. It’s always been an awesome aspect of my life, if you get me. To my friends back in school, I was simply known as “the Wiggles guy”.’
10 years ago, Dominic initially signed up with The Wiggles as a team member. Over time, however, he gained immense popularity amongst fans and was affectionately known as The Tree of Wisdom.
His character is a singing and dancing shrub and was introduced on the children’s TV show in 2023.
The once revered Tree of Wisdom is now surprisingly gaining popularity, as videos showcasing its unconventional dance moves are watched by countless viewers worldwide.
Dominic shared that the Tree of Wisdom has grown so well-known that numerous admirers have discovered creative methods to show their admiration.
He shared with The Sydney Morning Herald last November that it’s quite amusing to see people attending the performances dressed like trees.
‘We’ve been joking it looks like I’m dressing up as them because they have a better costume.’
The character appeals equally to both parents and kids, with numerous grown-ups expressing their admiration on social media, praising Dominic for his exceptional performances during the live events.

‘Tree of Wisdom goes so fkn hard,’ a second person wrote.
Another person joined in, expressing their sentiment as, ‘I really enjoyed the tree dancing segment of the show too!’ The fifth individual concurred, saying, ‘It was truly delightful to witness!’
Additionally, it’s worth mentioning that in October 2023, Dominic tied the knot with dance partner from The Wiggles, Stephanie Di Coio, further expanding their franchise connections.
At a church, the performers conducted a heartfelt ceremony where they pledged their love for each other surrounded by their dear ones. Later, the guests released inhibitions and enjoyed themselves to the fullest at the lively after-party.
In various Instagram posts, Stephanie was captured dancing enthusiastically following her “I do” moment during the wedding ceremony.
Amidst the din of excited guests, Stephanie and Dominic danced playfully on the dance floor, both of them donning sunglasses indoors.
Whenever possible, Stephanie crouched down close to the ground, then quickly swept the hem of her elegant yet uncomplicated white dress in a spin.
At some stage, they spun around together among their dearest companions, dancing to the timeless track ‘Greased Lightnin” originally sung by John Travolta, who is well-known for it.
In January 2022, the pair publicly declared their intention to marry, posting a heartwarming picture on Instagram showing them embracing closely, following the moment when Dominic proposed.
