As a dedicated follower of the Peaky Blinders series since its inception in 2013, I can hardly contain my excitement at the news that the original writing and directing team are returning alongside Cillian Murphy for a Netflix movie adaptation of this beloved show. The fact that Barry Keoghan will also be joining the cast adds an extra layer of anticipation to the mix.
In a recent sighting, actors Cillian Murphy and Barry Keoghan were captured on the set of the forthcoming Peaky Blinders film titled “The Immortal Man.” They concluded the filming process together.
In June, it was officially announced that the creative team behind Peaky Blinders, including their original writers and directors, would reunite with Cillian Murphy for a film adaptation of the popular series on Netflix.
In the recently released preview snapshot from the movie, the pair are seen smiling brightly at one another since the filming has already been completed.
48-year-old Cillian wore the iconic black flat cap and long coat of his character, Tommy Shelby, while 32-year-old Barry dressed up similarly but in a grey version.
It became known in August that Barry is set to appear in an upcoming film; however, specifics about his role are still under wraps.
Fans of the show are eagerly anticipating the feature film after six seasons of the BBC show.

The highly-acclaimed creator of the gangster saga, Steven Knight, is penning down the next chapter in this series, taking place amidst the chaotic streets of 1900s Birmingham. This production will be a joint effort with Caryn Mandabach, Cillian Murphy, and Guy Heeley as co-producers.
As an over-the-moon fan, I couldn’t contain my excitement when the streaming service shared the fantastic news on X, accompanied by a snapshot of the script. The legendary, Oscar-winning actor himself, in an exclusive interview with Deadline, hinted at more adventures for Tommy Shelby and me: “It appears that Tommy Shelby hasn’t quite let go of me yet…
I’m thrilled to once again join forces with Steven Knight and Tom Harper in creating the movie adaptation of Peaky Blinders. It’s a treat that will delight our devoted fans.
10 years back, when I initially took on directing Peaky Blinders, we hadn’t foreseen its destiny, but we sensed an electric chemistry between the cast and the script that seemed potent and powerful.
It’s thrilling to reconnect with Steve and Cillian once more, as we embark on telling the Peaky Blinders story that revolves around family. We can’t wait to share this movie experience with viewers worldwide through Netflix.
Since its debut in 2013, the television series “Peaky Blinders” has drawn massive viewership not just in the UK but also abroad, securing high-profile acting roles for celebrities like Tom Hardy and Anya Taylor-Joy on the big screen.
The series draws inspiration from a genuine Birmingham-based gang, sharing the same name and active during the 1880s to the 1920s. They were involved in various illicit operations.
The gritty crime drama “Peaky Blinders” spanned six seasons across a nine-year period, culminating in its finale. In this final episode, Tommy, who had been deceived into thinking he was terminally ill, managed to outlive an assassination plot masterminded by his own nephew. The climax of the story saw him taking his nephew’s life and then setting off for a fresh start elsewhere.
The critically acclaimed BBC crime series, which unfolded against the backdrop of Birmingham during its industrial transformation in the early 1900s, concluded after six seasons in the year 2022.
