Katie Price and Peter Andre, who famously had a difficult split, are reportedly both filming appearances for their daughter Princess’s new reality TV program.
Katie Price, age 47, wasn’t featured in the first season of “The Princess Diaries,” the ITV show that premiered last year. The series followed 18-year-old Princess as she started her career in the public spotlight.
The show included Katie Price’s family – her dad Peter, stepmother Emily MacDonagh, and brother Junior – but Katie herself didn’t appear in it.
Now, the pair have reportedly agreed to film on the next series, albeit separately.
Peter and Katie met on the reality show I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! in 2004, and married just over a year later in 2005.
The couple later had two children, Junior, who is now 20, and Princess. They announced their separation and divorce in 2009, which came as a surprise to many.
According to a source, Katie is very happy to be involved in the show, and deservedly so, as she’s a major presence in her daughter’s life. Princess is also excited to have both her parents participating.
She was really upset when things were difficult between them, but she’s much happier now that their relationship has improved, according to a source who spoke with The Sun.
The Daily Mail has contacted Katie and Peter’s representatives for comment.
Katie shared that her husband, Lee Andrews, has now met her ex-husband, Peter, after she and Peter spoke for the first time in nine years.
She went as far as to introduce him to her ex-husband, Peter, and they even had a conversation over FaceTime.
Katie explained to The Sun that she felt it was the right moment to reconnect. She jokingly mentioned that she actually learned Pete was around because she was video chatting with her daughter, Princess, who was with him at the time. It had been nine years since she’d last seen him.
I was at dinner with Lee when my ex-husband suddenly appeared, which was incredibly strange. It felt like I was saying, “Well, hello to both of you!” – acknowledging my ex and introducing him to my current husband.
‘They had a nice chat. I was like “what the f*** is going on here?!”‘
Katie revealed in an interview that she’s only ever been truly in love three times: with Peter, her former boyfriend Dane Bowers, and her current partner, Lee.
She has been married twice: to Alex Reid from 2010 until 2012, and to Kieran Hayler from 2013 to 2021, though she didn’t mention him by name.
Katie and Peter recently reconnected after years of conflict. They started following each other on Instagram after agreeing to end their 16-year feud, leading to a surprising reunion.
Katie reportedly unfollowed Peter on social media in 2021 after he allegedly hired a lawyer due to statements she made in her book, Harvey & Me.
She reported that Peter Andre hasn’t made any effort to stay in contact with his ex-stepson, Harvey, who is 23, since they were no longer a couple.
Fans noticed last month that the two stars were following each other on social media, just a week after publicly announcing they were separating and moving forward.
People close to Katie and Peter say their children helped them mend things after their divorce.
For months, Pete’s team has been urging Katie to resolve this issue permanently. They started reaching out as early as November, contacting both Katie and her family in an attempt to end the conflict.
She was determined not to reconcile with him. However, she realized she needed to set boundaries for the sake of her children. A source told The Sun that Katie made this decision with them in mind.
Katie and Peter revealed the acrimony that followed their divorce has been resolved.
This announcement represents the first time the former couple has spoken in 16 years. They say they’re ready to put the past behind them and begin a new, respectful, and positive relationship.
They added: ‘We are both focused on creating a calm and supportive environment for our children.
We’ve both agreed not to say anything bad about each other in the future, and this understanding is confirmed both legally and personally.
We’ve made this decision because we both value our family and want a stable future. Our children are our priority, and we want to support them together.
We’re optimistic about building a good relationship moving forward, and we appreciate the understanding and support of the media and public as we do so.
