As a seasoned observer of Strictly Come Dancing, I must say that this year’s competition has been nothing short of captivating. The stories and journeys of the contestants have added an extra layer of emotion to each performance. One such contender who has truly caught my eye is Shayne Ward.

Nancy Xu expressed disappointment on Instagram on Sunday, stating that she and her dance partner Shayne Ward won’t be performing at Blackpool, since they were eliminated from Strictly Come Dancing.

The skilled dancer argued that the X Factor contestant should not have faced criticism during the BBC series as he had no prior dancing experience on the show.

Shyne was the one who left the competition as the seventh celebrity participant, following an intense dance-off against Welsh opera singer Wynne Evans. Unfortunately, he didn’t manage to impress during the Rumba performance on Saturday.

Currently, Nancy has enthusiastically posted on social media, expressing that dancing with Shayne was her “standout moment” or “best experience” of the entire year.

She wrote: ‘Where do I begin my words, for me, you have already been a winner since our very first day rehearsals together. Your humble, kindness, and respect for me are beyond then everything! Not even mention how amazing you are performing every Saturday night on the dance floor!

This year, discovering more about you as an individual and experiencing Strictly together has been my absolute favorite part of the year! Last night, I was eagerly hoping to see you dance at Blackpool, so your mom could witness your brilliance on stage. For me, you’ve given everything with such grace in countless ways!

She went on to say: “I apologize that your entire journey has been met with more criticism than it should, as people often overlook the fact that you started from scratch. Your consistent effort to host a show every Saturday night certainly warrants something more commendable!

Allow me to assure you, there’s a greater and superior outcome headed your way soon! Rest assured, you’ll experience fairer outcomes in due time.

She expressed: ‘I was truly disappointed that our path took such a turn! It’s important for you to know how extraordinary you are, both as a person and a performer. Thank you for putting faith in me and allowing me to impart my expertise and enthusiasm with you. I am grateful for this experience and I hope our friendship endures beyond this journey. I value our connection deeply!’ @shaynetward

For our journey together throughout this partnership, Sophie Austin84, I’d like to express my gratitude for your unwavering presence and faith in us. Thank you!

I want to express my gratitude for being with us every step of the way during our journey, especially since I know it must have been challenging for you too, considering how difficult such journeys can be for loved ones. Thank you so much for your unwavering support! I’d love to hear about your wonderful family sometime.

She expressed gratitude saying, “I appreciate everyone’s vote and support! It means a lot and I am incredibly thankful!

I’m truly appreciative to both @bbcstrictly and @sarahjamesface for inviting such an exceptional individual onto the show, giving me an opportunity to shine alongside them. I am deeply grateful and can’t express enough my thanks. I also want to thank everyone for their kind messages.

In simpler terms, the performer from Coronation Street and his dance companion Nancy received a score of 30/40 for a challenging Latin dance, which placed him last on the scoreboard.

On Sunday, the 40-year-old found themselves compelled once more to perform a dance for the judges prior to receiving their decisions.

In this scenario, Craig Revel Horwood and Motsi Mabuse chose to keep the musical performer safe, whereas Anton Du Beke opted for Wynne and Katya Jones’ rendition of the American Smooth dance.

It left head judge Shirley Ballas with an agonising decision. She ultimately decided to give her deciding vote to Wynne, which meant that Shayne departed the competition.

Speaking with host Tess Daly regarding his departure, he expressed, “All I want to do is acknowledge that the rest of you up there are incredible. Every day, entering this place has been an inspiration for me because your presence has greatly assisted me.

Let me express my gratitude to the audience too, they’ve consistently been fantastic for everyone involved. Truly, this experience ranks among the finest accomplishments in my life.

He mentioned, “I’m pleased to say I’ve lasted eight weeks as a novice dancer. A big thank you is owed to the remarkable person beside me [Nancy], who sparked my passion and convinced me I could accomplish even more if I embraced it fully.

Although things didn’t turn out as planned, I’m genuinely grateful for having met you, Nancy, and shared a dance with you. So, thank you!

Nancy, who partnered with Les Dennis last year, expressed: “I am incredibly proud of our dancing collaboration. Shayne, since day one, you’ve continually enhanced yourself on the dance floor with each passing moment.

You often ponder deeply, frequently questioning your own thoughts, and rarely showing confidence in them. However, I have never had any doubts about your abilities or judgement.

Watching you dance brings me a sense of pride, knowing that I guided someone who had no prior dancing experience to becoming an exceptional dancer. Remember, always trust in your abilities. I truly cherished our journey together.

On Saturdays, I found myself nestled among a group of talented dancers – Jamie Borthwick and Michelle Tsiakkas included – all vying for top spot in the Argentine Tango competition. Unfortunately, our performance could be described as rather “moody,” causing us to share the bottom rung on the leaderboard with our fellow competitors.

In addition, JB Gill and his partner Lauren Oakley, as well as Love Island’s Tasha Ghouri and her partner Aljaz Skorjanec, shared the highest score of the night.

However, it was Pete Wicks who brought BBC viewers to tears with his heartfelt tribute performed in honor of his grandmother.

Previously, the former “TOWIE” star, aged 36, shared an exceptionally strong bond with his grandmother Doreen, who passed away in 2022. Earlier, he had characterized her demise as the most challenging period of his existence.

Pete and his dance partner Jowita Przystal showcased their performance set to the hit song “The Best,” which was initially sung by Bonnie Tyler but gained prominence through Tina Turner’s rendition.

The television personality was applauded by the panel for his act, earning him a first-ever perfect 10 from Shirley Ballas, who expressed that his dance moved her deeply.

This coming Saturday, I’ll join the final eight celebrities – among them Sarah Hadland, known for her role in Miranda, Chris McCausland, our talented blind comedian, and JB, former member of JLS – as we all make our way to the iconic Blackpool Tower. We’re set to appear live from its legendary ballroom for a unique episode that I can hardly wait for!
