In September, she discussed undergoing a procedure to remove her breast implants during a chat on the Heal Squad podcast with Maria Menounos.
‘I kept going back and forth in my head, had a bunch of mental breakdowns right before [the surgery],’ she said of the decision. ‘The week before was the worst. The day before was bad.’
‘But, at the end of the day, I did it. And because I did it, when I woke up, I had such a sense of relief. And joy and happiness.’

For a long time, I hid my real self, including from my close friends, due to apprehension that they could unintentionally disclose my confidential information within our professional circle, as she shared on Instagram.
In a different scenario, I had to assume another persona to get the job done. It was a necessity for me to suppress my skills, wisdom, and brilliance to match this role. Today, at 35, I’ve never felt more energetic, youthful, or vibrant. Here is my revelation: My life is just starting anew.
The beauty subsequently disclosed significant life transformations, which encompassed moving to Los Angeles, seeking therapy, practicing meditation regularly, and abstaining from both marijuana and alcohol use.
‘Over the past year, there have been many significant events… I’ve embarked on an incredible personal journey centered around self-love and development,’ expressed the fashion icon on Instagram.
I’ve begun therapy with an amazing professional, given up both alcohol and marijuana, and relocated to Los Angeles, securing my very own apartment.
Joy added that she ‘took control of my career,’ letting go of past model agents and managers.
