Get ready for a suspenseful ride with Netflix’s new sci-fi thriller, The Last House. The story centers around a terrifying idea: what if your home became a prison? Ann and Jason, played by Greta Lee (from Past Lives) and Wagner Moura (The Secret Agent), along with their two children, find themselves trapped and desperately try to uncover the reason behind their confinement.
When basic necessities and comforts disappear, a comfortable family home quickly becomes a terrifying place, according to director Louis Leterrier in an interview with Tudum.
Joining the cast of The Last House are Riley Chung, known for their role in The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes, along with Emma Ho, Noah Alexander Sosnowski, and Gabriel Barbosa.

I’m super excited because this movie is dropping on August 7th! The writer is Matthew Robinson, and you might recognize his work – he wrote stuff like Love and Monsters, Dora and the Lost City of Gold, and The Invention of Lying, so I have a good feeling about this one.
Lee said she always loved survival stories, especially ones that offered something unexpected. She was instantly captivated by The Last House.
I really enjoyed the thought-provoking questions the movie raised about life and our choices. I was also thrilled by the idea of exploring those questions in a fresh and engaging manner, and that’s what drew me to it.
