PlayStation Plus May games include EA Sports FC 26, Wuchang: Fallen Feathers, and Nine Sols

Sony announced the free PlayStation Plus games for May 2026. Starting May 5th, Essential, Extra, and Premium members can all enjoy the three included titles.

Okay, so PlayStation Plus is adding some cool games in May! I’m really excited about EA Sports FC 26, and I’ve also been hearing good things about Wuchang: Fallen Feathers and Nine Sols. The best part is, if I add them to my library before June 1st, I can keep playing them as long as my PlayStation Plus subscription stays active. Sweet!

This month’s featured game is EA Sports FC 26, which might not appeal to players who don’t enjoy sports, especially football. Available on PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4, it includes popular modes like Career, Clubs, Kick-Off, and Football Ultimate Team. This year’s version features some significant gameplay changes that have divided long-time fans – some are praising it as the best in years, while others are strongly critical and are even calling for a boycott, feeling the game has been negatively altered.

PlayStation Plus members get a special in-game Icons Pack when they download the monthly free games.

Wuchang: Fallen Feathers is a dark fantasy action RPG available exclusively on PlayStation 5. Set in a plague-ridden, monster-filled version of late Ming Dynasty China, it features challenging, close-quarters combat. The game initially received positive feedback, but a recent update accidentally made some enemies invincible, disrupting the storyline. Despite this issue, Wuchang remains a well-made game in the Souls-like genre.

Next up is Nine Sols, a 2D action-platformer for both PS5 and PS4. It features challenging combat focused on precise parrying, beautiful hand-drawn graphics, and a unique world that mixes mythology and science fiction. It’s a tough game in the style of a Metroidvania, but it’s designed to be accessible even if you’re new to the genre, making it beatable for everyone.

Okay, so the free PlayStation Plus games for May are coming, which means we need to grab the April games before they’re gone! I’ve been enjoying Lords of the Fallen, and I definitely want to check out the Tomb Raider remasters and Sword Art Online. We’ve got until May 4th to add those to our libraries. The new May games will be available from May 5th to June 1st. Just a heads-up, the exact games might be a little different depending on where you are, so it’s best to check the PlayStation Store when they launch.
