Natalie Portman, 44, announced on Friday that she is pregnant with her third child.

The father is her partner, the French music producer Tanguy Destable.

“Tanguy and I are thrilled,” she told Harper’s Bazaar. “I feel incredibly lucky and realize how special this opportunity is.”

Senator Portman’s father was a fertility doctor, and she recalls growing up hearing about the challenges people face when trying to conceive.

I care about many people who have struggled with this, so I want to be sensitive to their experiences. It’s a wonderful and happy occasion, but it’s also understandably difficult for some.

The actress, known for her role in Black Swan, shared that she recognizes how fortunate she is, expressing both awareness and deep gratitude for everything she has.

She shares two children with her ex-husband, choreographer Benjamin Millepied: a 14-year-old son named Aleph and a 9-year-old daughter named Amalia.

‘There is a gratitude that when you’re young, you don’t necessarily grasp,’ she shared. 

I’ve found a peaceful sense of self – understanding who I enjoy being with and the kind of positive energy I want in my life, which makes each day so special. Knowing this might be the last time, I truly appreciate every single moment.

She also said she feels good. ‘I have more energy than I thought I might,’ she said.

The actress shared that she’s staying in shape by swimming and doing gyrotonics, and prioritizing time with her children, which she says is the most rewarding thing.
