I just had to share – if you’re looking for something to watch this Friday, you absolutely need to check out Dead Man’s Shoes! It’s a fantastic British thriller starring Paddy Considine (who I loved in MobLand!), and it’s currently available to stream for free. The movie is about a soldier named Richard who comes home to get revenge on the guys who took advantage of his brother, Anthony, who has a learning disability. It’s really gripping!
Richard returns to his hometown seeking revenge on the people who wronged him, systematically targeting them with fear and violence. However, his pursuit of vengeance becomes increasingly dangerous, forcing him to examine his own behavior with the help of an unexpected ally.
Stephen Considine not only played the main character but also helped write the screenplay with Paul Fraser and director Shaun Meadows. The film also features Toby Kebbell, known from Fantastic Four, boxer Gary Stretch, Stuart Wolfenden from Hollyoaks, Neil Bell of Downton Abbey, and Jo Hartley from Adolescence.

Though Empire Magazine called Dead Man’s Shoes “disturbing, uncompromising, and completely gripping,” it currently has a 61% rating on Rotten Tomatoes based on 49 reviews. The New York Post highlighted the film’s “powerful climax.”
You can now watch Dead Man’s Shoes for free on Channel 4’s streaming service after it aired on Film4 last night. However, it’s only available for the next 13 days, so don’t miss it!
