Okay, let me tell you, Jess Glynne and Alex Scott absolutely sparkled on the red carpet at the Devil Wears Prada 2 premiere in London last night! They looked completely smitten with each other – seriously, the chemistry was undeniable. It was such a sweet and lovely moment to witness!
The couple, together since 2023, looked cozy with each other on the red carpet at the event in Leicester Square.
Presenter Alex, 41, turned heads in a striking red dress. The sleeveless gown highlighted her figure and flowed into a full, long skirt.
She wore her dark hair pulled back smoothly and completed the look with a bold gold necklace.
Singer Jess looked stylish in a black corset dress, which she wore over a crisp white shirt and black tie.
I’m loving how effortlessly chic she looked! She kept things simple with a sleek low bun, and those silver stud earrings were the perfect finishing touch. It’s all about understated elegance, and she nailed it.
Anne Hathaway, Emily Blunt, Meryl Streep, and Stanley Tucci, some of the biggest stars at the event, confidently posed for photos on the red carpet.
The movie brings Anne back together with Meryl, Emily, and Stanley as they return to the competitive world of fashion, now updated for today’s trends.
The initial story hints that Miranda Priestly is struggling with the falling popularity of magazines and newspapers, all while competing with Emily (Blunt), who now has significant influence over important advertising accounts.
The next installment will feature several new actors, such as Justin Theroux, Kenneth Branagh, and Lucy Liu.
The movie was filmed in both New York and Milan, and early sneak peeks have already excited fans.
The film The Devil Wears Prada was a huge success, but it became more than that – it really entered the cultural conversation. Meryl Streep’s portrayal of Miranda Priestly quickly became legendary, and the film inspired many people to become passionate about fashion, even just repeating her famous line, ‘That’s all.’
I’ve been following news about The Devil Wears Prada 2 so closely, and the early reviews are incredible! Everyone who’s seen it is saying we need to prepare ourselves – it’s absolutely phenomenal, and I can’t wait to see it when it comes out in May.
The movie premiered in the US on Monday, and early reviews from critics are starting to appear online.
Although official reviews aren’t available until April 29th, early reactions on social media are spreading quickly and are very positive.
According to The Hollywood Reporter’s Alex Weprin, the film is a sharply satirical take on the media, presented with a glamorous, high-fashion aesthetic. He predicts journalists will find it uncomfortably relatable.
Jazz Tangcay from Variety magazine shared her excitement, saying fans should prepare themselves because the sequel to ‘The Devil Wears Prada’ is fantastic! She believes it’s a perfect follow-up that surpasses anything viewers could have hoped for.
Aline Brosh McKenna wrote a really clever and funny script – it’s the kind of writing people will be remembering and repeating for years. Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, and Emily Blunt all deliver fantastic performances, as expected. The costumes are beautiful, and the music is amazing! Lady Gaga is a standout, and overall, the movie was absolutely worth seeing. Highly recommended!
The sequel introduces several new cast members, including Lady Gaga who makes a cameo appearance. She also contributed to the film’s soundtrack by writing and performing the song “Runway” with rapper Doechii.
Donatella Versace, Ciara, and Ashley Graham make brief appearances in the film. Justin Theroux stars as Emily’s boyfriend, Benji, while Kenneth Branagh plays Miranda’s new husband. Simone Ashley portrays Miranda’s current assistant.
There have been some victims of the edit though as Sydney Sweeney has had her cameo cut.
Entertainment Weekly reports that Sydney was originally going to appear early in the film, but the scene was cut because it didn’t fit with the overall story structure.
