Heartopia x MALTESE collaboration brings limited time themed items, food recipes, and more

Heartopia has teamed up with MALTESE to bring players adorable puppy-themed content! This includes new events, exhibitions, limited-edition furniture, fun interactive experiences, and gacha pulls with cute prizes. Everything is happening now in the game and will be available until May 25, 2026.

Everything that arrived with Heartopia x MALTESE collaboration

1. Regular Gacha set: Wind-Chasing Puppy & Spring Outing Puppy Sets

Discover exciting new exhibition sets inspired by the “Wind-Chasing Puppy (Light)” and “Spring Outing Puppy (Wild Nap)” themes, complete with exclusive outfits and furniture! You’ll use Heart Diamonds to try your luck at getting the sets you want, and each attempt will reward you with a random Thank-You Card.

You can trade Thank-You Cards for special themed sets at the Exchange Store. The Group Exhibition will close on May 27, 2026.

2. Premium Gacha set: Go with Puppy

A limited-time event with exclusive rewards is now open! You can participate using Exhibition Passes to win items from two new collections, ‘Puppy V (Energetic)’ and ‘Puppy V (Innocence)’. The rarest items guarantee you’ll complete the entire collection without getting any duplicates within that single event.

Each draw will be unique, but you might need to try more times as you go on. There are 11 draws in total, costing 3, 6, 12, 18, 24, 30, 37, 44, 51, 58, and 65 Exhibition Passes each. If you have particularly bad luck, you could end up needing a total of 348 Passes.

If you’re fortunate, you can earn all the rewards simply by unlocking the new car. This works similarly to past events, like the My Little Pony collaboration. Many of you are eager to purchase this vehicle, so it’s good to know it isn’t quite as fast as the cars from the MLP event – it’s up to you to decide if it’s right for you. However, it’s really cute! 3. MALTESE Pack in the Acorn Store

During the event, a special, limited-edition MALTESE Pack is available in the Acorn Store. It includes building materials, a decorative “Happy Maltese Window,” and furniture like the MALTESE Winter House, a puppy disguise, a sofa, a rug, a night light, and other items. Everything in the pack requires Heart Diamonds to purchase. If you don’t usually spend Diamonds, you might want to skip this pack.

4. New limited-time MALTESE animal

Join the MALTESE Friend Hunt! Malte and Retriever are visiting town this spring, and you can interact with them to earn rewards like ornaments and strengthen your friendship. This event happens at the same time as the current collaboration.

  • Maltese animal trough location: Truffle Island (where all the new event stuff is showcased)
  • Maltese animal favorite food: Meat, Dog Food, Grilled Mushroom

Don’t forget to max out the bond level with your Maltese dogs – they’re only available for a limited time! Doing so unlocks special rewards. The fastest way to raise their bond level is by feeding them their favorite food, and be sure to keep them from getting hungry!

5. MALTESE All-in-One Gacha Machine

Enjoy this free portion of the Heartopia x MALTESE event! Complete daily and special quests to collect MALTESE Gacha Coins. Use these coins to try the gacha and win exclusive outfits, items, and MALTESE Tokens. You’re guaranteed a new, limited-edition MALTESE reward every 9 gacha pulls. Plus, you can trade your coins for even more goodies in the Exchange Store.

You can get special, limited-time food recipes by using the Gacha Machine. Just finish a few quests to earn spins, and then trade your rewards in the exchange store to unlock the recipes. It’s easy! Here’s a list of the available recipes:

  • Retriever Con Panna: 2x Milk + 1x Coffee Beans + 1x Coffee

New 2-Person Action: Happy with MALTESE!

We’ve added a new way to connect with friends called “Happy with MALTESE!” By interacting with a friend daily for a week, you can unlock a special “Happy Dance” animation. Your progress with each friend is saved in your Friendship Journal, and you can enjoy this feature with many friends at the same time.

Final Thoughts

The latest update is a welcome change to the charming world of Heartopia – it’s certainly made things feel extra spring-like! However, it’s hard to say if it’s a big enough improvement. While some players will likely be happy with it, those of us who spend a lot of time in Heartopia – like myself, playing for at least an hour daily – were hoping for a bit more. Still, any new content is a good thing, right?
