‘Heartbroken’ LeAnn Rimes struck down with ‘severe illness’ forcing her to cancel shows after Mexico vacation

LeAnn Rimes shared on Wednesday that she’s dealing with a serious illness and has had to cancel her upcoming performances.

The singer, who received a $45,000 treatment to improve her blood health in January, shared on Instagram that she’s devastated she won’t be able to perform for her fans this week because she needs to focus on resting.

The illness was not named by the Grammy winning artist.

‘I’m sorry to share that the upcoming shows in Spokane and Seattle will be rescheduled,’ she said.

I’m so sorry to have to reschedule, and I really appreciate your understanding and support while I get better.

‘I look forward to being back on stage and seeing you very soon, Love, LeAnn.’

She did say she would reschedule the dates for May 31 in Spokane and June 2 in Seattle.

The couple recently returned from a beach vacation in Mexico, where they celebrated their 15th anniversary. The singer, known for many popular songs, enjoyed the trip with Eddie Cibrian.

Last week she took to Instagram to talk about her vacation with her spouse.

She shared on Instagram on April 23rd that she and her partner took a three-day break from work and difficult family issues happening at home.

This anniversary has been unlike any other – a real mix of emotions, honestly. There have been tough moments, and a lot of worry, but thankfully, we’ve also shared some beautiful laughter and felt so incredibly grateful for the love we share. It’s a reminder that life is always a journey with its ups and downs, and we’re navigating it together, hand in hand.

She said Cibrian, 52, was there for her.

LeAnn Rimes shared in January that she underwent a costly procedure – potentially up to $45,000 – to remove mold and tiny plastic particles from her bloodstream.

The country singer posted a raw and honest video on Instagram from her visit to Next Health in Nashville. The video showed her during a medical procedure, connected to a machine.

This expensive therapy cleans the blood by removing fluid, filtering out harmful substances and immune components, and then replenishing it with new plasma.

She explained in a video caption that she pushes her body hard and prioritizes taking excellent care of it. The video showed her relaxing in a chair with IV tubes connected to her arms.

A single plasma exchange session at the clinic takes one to three hours and costs $10,000. A package of three sessions is available for $24,000, and six sessions cost $45,000.

The singer, known for her song ‘Can’t Fight the Moonlight,’ shared that she’s undergoing her second plasma exchange treatment. This process helps remove tiny toxins like mold and microplastics from her body, and this time, she’s also receiving stem cells to help with healing and recovery.

She explained she was prioritizing her well-being and making choices that helped her recover, particularly after a demanding year of work.

Over the years, this mother of two has openly shared her experiences with various health challenges. She’s talked about dealing with anxiety, depression, and psoriasis, and has also discussed what it’s been like going through perimenopause.

Last October, she told US Weekly that experiencing perimenopause was very difficult. She explained that she had a high level of mercury in her body, which can significantly impact the nervous system.

‘Completely detoxing my body and removing some of the toxicity has leveled things out.’

The singer, who became famous at age 13 with her song “Blue,” also revealed she consulted doctors to help with hormonal changes and received EMDR therapy to deal with unwanted thoughts.

She explained that perimenopause often brings a unique kind of sadness that people don’t discuss. She described it as a time of profound personal growth, where we naturally let go of things that no longer fit who we are.

Last year, during a performance at the Skagit Valley Casino & Resort in Bow, Washington, Rimes experienced an embarrassing moment when some of her teeth fell out on stage.

The singer shared a painful story with her Instagram followers in June, recalling when her dental bridge came loose. She’s had several dental procedures before, and her jaw even briefly dislocated on stage during a 2014 concert.

We’re going to read a story about perseverance – about how things keep going even when there are challenges. And this is a really amazing example of that idea!

During last night’s performance of ‘One Way Ticket,’ my dental bridge came loose and fell out while I was singing. I’ve had a lot of dental work done, so this was a bit of a surprise mid-song.
