Euphoria fans are left baffled by the wildly inappropriate dress code, Sydney Sweeney’s sexy first dance and completely unrealistic guest list during ‘unhinged’ wedding episode

Viewers of the show Euphoria were surprised by what happened at Nate and Cassie’s wedding during Monday’s episode.

With the latest season, creator Sam Levinson clearly aimed to push boundaries, incorporating explicit and shocking content.

The wedding episode, which many viewers were excited about, ended up being strange and confusing rather than surprising. People were particularly puzzled by the guests’ odd clothing choices and Cassie’s very suggestive first dance.

Okay, so everyone was obsessed with what people were going to wear to the party, but honestly, all I could focus on was Maddy and Jules. They completely stole the show! Both of them showed up in these dresses that were, like, seriously daring – so revealing and gorgeous, they just completely owned the night. I couldn’t take my eyes off them, seriously!

Let me tell you, there was a bit of a buzz when BB – that’s Sophia Rose Wilson, a friend from their school days – showed up! It turns out they hadn’t been in touch for a while, and she has some wonderful news – she’s expecting a baby! It was lovely to see her and hear all about it.

She made sure everyone would be looking at her by showing off her baby bump in a bright red crop top and short skirt.

Many viewers were surprised to see Rue at the wedding, as she doesn’t have a close relationship with either Cassie or Nate.

Her wedding guests looked puzzled because she chose a relaxed outfit – a baggy suit with sneakers.

Even the bride’s dress wasn’t quite right. Cassie wore a revealing gown that seemed too small, and it risked being too revealing.

Okay, seriously, even with all the drama happening, Sydney was just breathtaking! Everyone’s saying it, and I totally agree – she deserves an Emmy. Like, hands down, the best acting I’ve seen all year, maybe ever! I’m obsessed and everyone needs to recognize her genius!

Viewers were shocked watching Sydney’s wedding as the bride, Cassie, reacted to discovering her new husband had $550,000 in debt, turning her dream day into a disaster.

Despite being visibly upset and in pain, she danced closely with Nate in a strange and unsettling way.

Their wedding day quickly turned disastrous when Nate’s loan shark showed up. The situation escalated violently, leaving Cassie with a bloody nose and, horrifyingly, Nate missing a toe right in front of her.

As a lifestyle expert, I’ve seen a lot, but this story truly highlights a disturbing lack of empathy. Imagine a situation where someone’s husband is suffering terribly, and their first reaction isn’t concern for him, but distress over a stained wedding dress! It’s shocking, really. The woman, Cassie, completely ignored her husband’s pain, instead breaking down and complaining that it was ‘so unfair’ – focusing on property damage while someone she loves is being tortured. It’s a stark reminder that priorities can be… deeply misplaced.

‘It was supposed to be the best day of my life!’

Despite the strange events unfolding on screen, viewers praised Sydney’s unpredictable performance and the general mayhem surrounding the wedding, as seen on X/Twitter. One user exclaimed, ‘What is that dress for a wedding?! This show always keeps me guessing! #euphoria’

Okay, seriously?! I’m still reeling from what Jules and Maddy wore to the wedding! Like, what were they thinking? It was so not the vibe, so totally inappropriate! I can’t get over it, honestly. Some people just have no sense of occasion, and their outfits were just… a mess. #Euphoria

What bothered me most was Jules and Maddy’s outfits – and that no one said anything about them! I was expecting some reaction, because where I’m from, wearing something like that to a wedding is considered disrespectful. #euphoria

Sydney Sweeney delivered an incredibly powerful performance in this Euphoria wedding special – many are calling it one of the best television performances of the year. She really saved her best acting for this episode!

Sydney Sweeney won the Emmy for Best Actress! Many people agree she deserved it, praising her incredibly raw and emotional performance in the latest episode.

Sydney Sweeney’s performance in Euphoria is remarkably different – and much stronger – than her work in other roles. It’s as if she completely transforms when filming that show; it’s hard to believe it’s the same actress.

Sydney Sweeney gave a particularly strong performance in the third episode of Euphoria, standing out from the rest of the cast. It seems like the real drama is just starting!

Even though she showed impressive skills, one viewer wondered if she seemed genuinely excited during the third season, which received a lot of negative reviews.

They observed that everyone on the show Euphoria seemed trapped by their contracts, except for Sydney Sweeney, who surprisingly appeared enthusiastic – and that bothered them even more.

Many viewers found the third season of the HBO show unsettling due to its intense exploration of topics like sex work, fetish roleplay, and a plotline involving a character joining OnlyFans.

Okay, let’s talk about the latest episode. While it didn’t dwell on Cassie’s storyline, it definitely still explored some pretty intense themes early on. We found out Jules had left art school and was now working as a sugar baby, which was a surprising reveal and set a certain tone for the hour. It wasn’t necessarily about explicit content, but it definitely wasn’t shying away from complex relationships and power dynamics.

Disturbing footage depicted Jules being subjected to degrading acts, including having her legs licked and being covered in plastic wrap, as she seemingly fulfilled the unusual desires of a wealthy benefactor.

As a longtime Euphoria fan, I was really disturbed by some scenes in the latest episode. Seeing Jules wrapped in plastic wrap felt incredibly uncomfortable and unnecessary, and a lot of other viewers on X (formerly Twitter) felt the same way. Many of us were commenting on how it seemed like the show was leaning into something purely for shock value, and it just didn’t feel right.

So far, the latest season of Euphoria has failed to live up to its predecessors.

Before it even aired, the third season received harsh early reviews, being called both a chaotic mess and surprisingly boring.

Currently, the season has a 46% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, meaning most reviews are negative. This is a significant drop from the 80% and 78% positive ratings the first two seasons received.

With five episodes left in the season, viewers don’t expect things to get much better.

Many viewers feel that the episodes of #Euphoria Season 3 haven’t been as good as those from the first two seasons, and they’re mostly watching to see how the show concludes.

The early seasons of #Euphoria were exceptionally well-done. Even a particularly intense violent scene involving Nate after the wedding doesn’t compare to the impact of him being attacked on New Year’s Eve.

As a lifestyle expert, I get asked all the time where to catch Euphoria. Here’s the scoop: in the US, you can tune in to HBO every Sunday at 9pm Eastern and Pacific time. If you’re across the pond in the UK, you’ll want to check out Sky Atlantic on Mondays at both 2am and 9pm. And don’t forget, streaming is always an option – you can find it on HBO Max and Sky Go whenever you’re ready to binge!
