Okay, so here’s a little something that happened yesterday! I heard that Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson had a run-in with the police in LA, right after he was at the Walk of Fame ceremony honoring Emily Blunt and Stanley Tucci. Apparently, he was pulled over shortly after leaving the event – just one of those things that happens, even to the biggest stars!
The 53-year-old actor from The Smashing Machine appeared upset when a police officer pulled him over and gave him a ticket for having tinted windows.
The actor later told a photographer that the ticket was due to illegal window tint on his vehicle, as California law requires a certain level of visibility.
California has specific rules about window tinting. The front side windows need to allow at least 70% of light through, and windshield tint can only cover the top 4 to 5 inches. While rear windows can be darker, cars must have dual side mirrors.
If you get pulled over for tinted windows for the first time, you’ll likely receive a $25 fine and be asked to lighten the tint. A second offense is more serious and could result in a roughly $200 fine and a traffic violation.
The Daily Mail has reached out to Johnson’s representatives for comment.
Despite appearing somber during the interaction, Johnson accepted the ticket before leaving.
Fresh off the Hollywood Walk of Fame event, the performer looked stylish in a white shirt and cream-colored pants.
He completed the look with brown leather loafers and a pair of eyeglasses.
He was among a number of stars who showed up to celebrate Blunt and her brother-in-law Tucci.
Samuel L. Johnson and Charlie Blunt recently appeared together in the 2025 drama, The Smashing Machine, which was directed by Benny Safdie.
Dwayne played the role of MMA fighter Mark Kerr in the movie, and Emily Blunt played his girlfriend, Dawn Staples, at the time.
The film didn’t perform well financially, earning only $10 million in the US despite costing $50 million to make.
The movie received generally mixed reviews from critics, but Dwayne Johnson’s performance was almost universally praised.
They also co-starred in the 2021 adventure/fantasy Jungle Cruise.

Emily Blunt and Stanley Tucci, known for their roles together in The Devil Wears Prada, received stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in a joint ceremony. Their spouses were there to support them and share in the celebration.
Tucci, 65, looked dapper as he beamed for the occasion, celebrating with his wife Felicity, 45.
43-year-old Emily Blunt looked stunning in a delicate white dress as her husband, John Krasinski, beamed with pride when her star was unveiled.
Meryl Streep was also there to see them receive the 2,841st and 2,842nd stars on the famous Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Other A-listers at the ceremony were Robert Downey Jr. and Matt Damon.
Dwayne Johnson has appeared in many of Hollywood’s most successful films, such as the Fast & Furious movies, Jumanji, and the Netflix hit Red Notice.
He’s planning more installments of his most successful movie series. A new Jumanji film is scheduled for release in December, and another Fast & Furious movie, Fast X: Part 2, is expected in 2027.
Because Jungle Cruise did well on Disney+, a second movie is being planned, even though it didn’t earn much money in theaters.
Dwayne Johnson is set to star in a live-action remake of Moana, scheduled for release on July 10th. Given the original animated film Moana earned over a billion dollars, this new version is predicted to be very successful.
