Story Highlights
- The absolute best weapons to destroy tough bosses.
- Learn special attacks to clear rifts easily.
In Dragon Quest Smash/Grow, you’ll face a constant stream of challenging monsters. It’s surprisingly fun and easy to dodge their attacks with simple one-touch controls, but you’ll need a lot of strength to get through the later levels. When evaluating mobile games, I always look closely at how much damage characters can deal.
As a huge fan, I’ve spent ages testing out all sorts of weapons in the toughest rifts. Seriously, some of them just melt Shrine bosses, while others can barely damage even the easiest enemies! I’ve put all my findings together in this detailed tier list to help you gear up your team and dominate. Let me help you get that sweet, sweet victory!
Dragon Quest Smash/Grow Best Weapons Tier List
Dragon Quest Smash/Grow is a fast-paced game where you constantly battle waves of monsters. Dodging is simple – just one touch! – and feels really good. However, the later levels are quite challenging. Some weapons are incredibly powerful and can defeat bosses quickly, while others aren’t very effective, even against weaker enemies.
I’ve put together this tier list based on my findings to help you pick the best setup for your squad.
| Tier | Weapon Name |
|---|---|
| Strong (S) | Metal Slime Sword, Falcon Blade, Metal Wing |
| Good (A) | Fire Blade, Crystal Claw, Shiverstick |
| Average (B) | Queen’s Whip, Sandstorm Spear, Platinum Plumes |
Dragon Quest Smash/Grow Best Weapons to Pick
S-Tier: Falcon Blade
The Falcon Blade is an incredibly powerful weapon, easily ranking as top-tier. It’s particularly effective against Shrine bosses, dealing huge wind damage. Its signature move, the Urfalcon Slash, has the highest potential damage of any single attack in the game.
This weapon deals a whopping 350% damage, making it incredibly powerful. It’s tricky to use because the area you need to hit is very small, but a direct hit will inflict huge damage. I switch to this weapon whenever I need to quickly defeat a boss.
A-Tier: Fire Blade
The Fire Blade is a top-tier weapon. I especially enjoy it for dealing consistent elemental damage over time. What makes it special is its ‘Infernal Impact’ ability – whenever you defeat an enemy, the blade automatically fires two heat-seeking fireballs. And its ultimate attack, the Inferno Slash, is a powerful explosion.
This strong ability fires a long-distance blast that goes through several enemies lined up together. I use it to quickly and safely eliminate large groups of monsters from afar. It works especially well with upgrades that reward hitting many enemies.
B-Tier: Queen’s Whip
I’d place the Queen’s Whip in the B-Tier. Its broad swing is really effective for quickly dealing with groups of enemies, especially when you’re starting the game. The special attack creates a large area on the ground that dramatically boosts your attack speed if you stand within it.
I usually switch away from this character right after using their ability, quickly moving to my main damage dealer. This allows for a burst of fast attacks. However, the ability’s damage isn’t very effective against tougher enemies later in the game.
Final Thoughts
The right weapon can completely change how you play. I’m always adjusting my gear to keep up with the latest strategies. Try out different weapons and items to discover what works best for you. Don’t worry if you don’t have the absolute best weapon yet – your skill and how you move are still incredibly important. Just keep playing and improving the gear you already have.
