The television show was inspired by the Game Changers book series by Canadian author Rachel Reid, and really launched the careers of Hudson Williams and Connor Storrie, the stars of Heated Rivalry. This is a good sign for Every Year After, which is also based on a popular Canadian romance novel.

Directed by Ivan Reitman, Stripes features Bill Murray as John Winger, a dissatisfied taxi driver who decides to join the army hoping for a fresh start. He convinces his friend, Russell Ziskey (played by Harold Ramis), to enlist with him. At basic training, they team up with a group of misfit recruits and unexpectedly find themselves on an important mission.

Good news for fans eagerly awaiting a new Friday the 13th movie: several of the classic films will be re-released in theaters in 2026! Regal Cinemas is planning screenings of most of the series throughout the year, naturally on Friday the 13ths.

The new comic series Doomquest, written by the creators of Fantastic Four and Ryan North, will have artwork by Francesco Mobili, known for his work on Daredevil. Marvel describes it as a self-contained story, ideal for both longtime readers and newcomers, offering a fresh look at Doctor Doom before he appears in the Avengers: Doomsday movie later this year. A preview of Doomquest will be available in Armageddon/X-Men #1 on May 2nd, with the first issue hitting shelves on May 27th.

Season two of Drops of God follows the quest to discover the source of an extraordinary wine – a mystery that even the renowned Alexandre Léger couldn’t crack. Apple TV+ describes the new season as a journey that starts with a search for family history but evolves into a worldwide hunt for the truth, revealing long-lost stories, old conflicts, and secrets that have been kept hidden for generations.

Directed by Gary Fleder, the action thriller Homefront—based on the novel by Chuck Logan—features Jason Statham as Phil Broker, a former DEA agent trying to live a quiet life with his daughter. Their peaceful existence is shattered when a dangerous drug lord (James Franco) threatens them, forcing Broker to use his skills to protect his family and deliver his own form of justice.

The first season of Cross centers around Detective Cross investigating two cases: the murder of activist Emir Goodspeed and the disappearance of his wife, Maria. Season 2 shifts the focus to the investigation of several billionaire murders. It’s great to have the show back, and this season features a special guest star, Matthew Lillard, playing a wealthy character named Lance Durand. After a thrilling season finale, fans are eager to know when the new episodes will air.
