Beyond the biggest blockbusters, there’s plenty to be excited about in the world of film. Tom Cruise is returning to more serious acting roles, Ben Affleck and Matt Damon are teaming up on screen once more, and after being put on hold, we’ll finally get to see Coyote vs. Acme. Aaron Sorkin is also working on a new film that’s expected to be as compelling as The Social Network, and the popular series Peaky Blinders is concluding with a special Netflix movie. Overall, it looks like I’ll be spending a lot of time at the movies this year.

The latest trailer for Avengers: Doomsday features a somber conversation between Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellen, hinting at death and a last stand against Doctor Doom. We also see James Marsden’s Cyclops amidst destruction, removing his visor and letting out a scream. It looks like the X-Men are facing certain doom, but could the trailer actually be showing us what happens as a result of Doomsday?
