How to Start the Homecoming Quest in Avowed

In the immersive world of Galawain’s Tusks, I find myself standing before the formidable Solace Keep. Inside, I approach Captain Geofri in Avowed. At first glance, he seems unapproachable, but upon offering my assistance, his demeanor softens. He tasks me with seeking out Mina, who may hold information about Captain Petru’s whereabouts.

Mina proposes that Captain Petru might not have merely walked away from Solace Keep. It’s likely something occurred to him, so the Envoy ought to investigate the Derelict Watchtower in search of any clues about his whereabouts.

Investigate the Abandoned Warden Tower

1. Upon getting to the tower, go inside via an opening at the rear side. Before accomplishing the primary task here, start by exploring the basement and take out any Xaurips that may be present. In a certain room, you’ll discover the desired item. Now, make your way up to the higher levels of this watchtower, and you will encounter a locked cell.

In a specific room, you’ll discover the item you seek. Now, ascend to the upper levels of this watchtower, and you will encounter a locked cell.

5. Upon reaching the tower, enter through the back opening. Before achieving your main goal here, first explore the basement and eliminate any Xaurips in your path. In a designated room, you’ll find the item you are searching for. Now, move on to the upper floors of the warden’s tower, and you will come across a locked cell.

It’s suggested that you forcefully open the delicate wall leading to the cell and employ the twisted iron key on the box within. In the box, you will discover the distinctive ring, hailing from the Galawain’s Tusks area.

Once you’ve opened the chest, make your way up to the tower’s peak and engage with the book positioned near the ladder to advance in the Homecoming mission within the game Avowed.

Should You Convince or Fight Jailer Liviu?

Next, make your way to the warden outpost located within the Ash Forest. Upon reaching the entrance, a guard called Liviu will halt you. She’ll insist that you retreat, but you’ll need to either persuade her or engage in combat with her to secure the key to the prison cell hidden inside.

Should you decide to confront her, the encounter is likely to be quite manageable since Liviu doesn’t possess an extraordinarily high amount of health. Once you swiftly defeat her and the other guards, you’ll acquire a valuable item from her corpse.

Should You Free Warden Petru Or Keep Him Imprisoned?

No matter what your choice is, you’ll venture into the outpost to encounter Petru, who has been jailed there. If you haven’t obtained the key yet, you’ll need to step outside after meeting Petru and request Liviu to give you the keys. But if you’ve previously confronted Liviu, you’ll already have the key with you.
