Recently, Rick Ross has been in the news for something other than his music or business ventures. People are talking about his surprising link to AJ Haulcy, a new player on the Indianapolis Colts football team.

AJ Haulcy had a successful college football career, playing safety at New Mexico, Houston, and LSU. Experts predicted he’d be drafted into the NFL, and he was – the Indianapolis Colts chose him in the third round, as the 78th overall pick.
Choosing Haulcy was already exciting, but the location of his draft party made it even more memorable. To everyone’s surprise, he celebrated being drafted at Rick Ross’s home.
It’s not surprising that reporters immediately questioned Haulcy about his connection to Ross. He’s faced these inquiries repeatedly since being drafted. For example, during an interview on 93.5 & 107.5 The Fan in Indianapolis, the hosts brought up the topic right away.
“That’s actually my cousin on my dad’s side,” he revealed to them during the April 29th interview.
He explained how he connected with Rick Ross’s sister, learned about their family, and was eventually invited to host his draft party at Ross’s house. He was very thankful for the generous offer and happily accepted.
Haulcy later discussed his connection to Rick Ross during an interview with the Colts. He said he’d always heard rumors growing up about being related to the rapper. He also mentioned he’d met Ross once in Miami and immediately called his father so they could speak to each other.
It’s surprising to discover that AJ Haulcy and Rick Ross are related, but it’s a really interesting connection! Perhaps Ross will travel to Indianapolis to see the Miami Dolphins play the Colts this season.
