Cyberpunk 2077: Survival System Officially Transforms Night City

I’ve been playing this game since it came out in 2020, and it’s seriously huge – one of the biggest open worlds I’ve ever explored. It’s a sci-fi adventure set in this incredible city called Night City, and what’s really cool is how much you can customize everything. Plus, Keanu Reeves is in it! The developers, CD Projekt RED, haven’t stopped there either; they keep adding more and more content, making it even bigger and better.

While the team behind Cyberpunk 2077 has continued to improve the game, a large and active modding community has also formed around it. Many mods are available for PC players, but a new one called Cyberpunk 2077: Survival System is particularly noteworthy.

I just stumbled across this cool mod for Cyberpunk 2077 called Survival System – Di Crash made it, and it’s free to download on Nexus Mods. The base game is already pretty immersive, but this mod cranks it up a notch. It really makes you focus on staying alive – finding food, getting shelter, all that stuff. It’s a whole new level of challenge!

The original Cyberpunk 2077 let you buy an apartment, but it wasn’t a major part of the game. This new version changes that – keeping your character V healthy, fed, and rested is crucial for surviving Night City. The game now includes meters that show you when V needs to eat, drink, or sleep.

While it might not seem challenging at first, the Survival System has changed other parts of Cyberpunk 2077 to support its core features. Now, things like food and drinks cost significantly more, and a new weight limit makes it harder to move around and progress in the game.

Even if you’ve spent a lot of time playing Cyberpunk 2077, the Survival System mod might be worth a try. It doesn’t overhaul the game completely, but the changes it adds are enough to make the experience feel new again.

But Survival System isn’t the only must-have mod for Cyberpunk 2077. Fans should also explore Night City Reborn, which adds over 600 improvements to the game. Dark Future offers a more minor overhaul, while Happy Tower presents a version of Cyberpunk 2077 where Night City isn’t always bleak, and a positive outcome is achievable.
