Okay, so this is huge if you’re into sneakers, skating, or just cool history! Reebok and ICECREAM are bringing back the Board Flip – seriously, this shoe was a big deal back in the day. It originally dropped in 2005 and was one of the first times Pharrell and NIGO really put their style into a shoe. It basically helped pave the way for all the fancy streetwear stuff you see on runways now. It’s cool to see a classic like this make a comeback!
The Board Flip was a hugely popular skate shoe from the early 2000s, quickly gaining recognition for its bright, playful designs that looked like candy and treats.
The “Watermelon” shoe features a green and pink color scheme inspired by the brand’s classic designs, while the “Pink Lemonade” version updates the look with a modern pink and red combination, staying true to the original style. Despite its high-quality materials, this shoe is built for skateboarding. Both versions include a comfortable EVA midsole with painted detailing, a tough rubber sole with toe protection, and extra laces for a customized fit.
According to James West of ICECREAM, the Board Flip is a memorable shoe in skate history. When they were first released, they stood out visually and culturally, sparking conversation and turning heads. Even now, people still recognize and comment on them. As someone who owned a pair when they originally came out 20 years ago, West is especially excited about their recent re-release.
The popular collection is back! An exclusive BBC ICECREAM release is available now, and if you missed it, the Reebok x ICECREAM Board Flip collection will be available worldwide on May 6th at 10:00 AM EST on Reebok’s website.
