The British crime drama Prey has become a hit on Netflix, climbing to become one of the most popular shows on the platform since its recent addition. As of today, it’s currently ranked at number 5 in the UK TV chart on Netflix (according to FlixPatrol).
This thrilling series, originally broadcast on ITV, spans two seasons and centers around two separate criminal investigations in the Manchester area. Detective Sergeant Susan Reinhart, played by Rosie Cavaliero, leads the inquiries in both cases.
In the first season, John Simm plays DC Marcus Farrow, a detective who becomes the prime suspect when his ex-wife and sons are murdered. Believing he can clear his name, Marcus escapes from custody to find the real killer.

Season two follows prison officer David Murdoch (Philip Glenister) as a simple inmate visit turns into a nightmare. He’s blackmailed, and the life of his pregnant daughter, Lucy (Sammy Winward), is threatened if he doesn’t comply.
The crime drama features a strong cast, including Benedict Wong and Heather Peace in its first season. Season two will add Ralph Ineson, Nathan Stewart-Jarrett, and MyAnna Buring to the lineup.
