JoJo Siwa’s ex Kath Ebbs shares brutal post about cheating on the anniversary of their breakup after singer found love with Chris Hughes

On the anniversary of her split from JoJo Siwa, Kath Ebbs posted a strong message online about not tolerating infidelity.

Kath was devastated last April when her boyfriend, a star on the show Dance Moms, went on Celebrity Big Brother in the UK. While on the show, he became close to Chris Hughes, and they began flirting, even though he was still with Kath. This ultimately led to a relationship between them.

After the CBB after-party, it came out that JoJo ended her relationship with Kath (who uses they/them pronouns), leaving them feeling shocked and disoriented. Shortly after, JoJo began dating Chris, a former contestant on Love Island.

JoJo has stated she didn’t have a physical affair with Kath and insists her relationship with Chris began as a close, but purely platonic, friendship.

JoJo later said that Chris wasn’t the reason they broke up, explaining that their relationship actually began after the split.

Kath marked the one-year anniversary of their breakup by resharing the original video they posted about it on Instagram, with the caption: ‘Happy one year to her x.’

The following post featured the couple displaying affection with their new partner, Tilly Lucas-Rodd, and included the message: ‘Wishing bad things upon your unfaithful ex today.’

In a different picture, they angrily addressed the camera and wrote a message saying they were sending their therapy bills to the people who had harassed them online after discovering they were cheated on. They ended the message with a dismissive ‘xx’.

JoJo and Chris are now a popular couple, but when JoJo finished third on the show, she wasn’t met by any family or friends as the other contestants were. Everyone else had loved ones waiting for them, but no one was there for JoJo.

Honestly, it really looked like JoJo’s partner was deliberately avoiding them with everything going on about their connection with Chris. But I heard from someone backstage that Kath was actually there, and had specifically refused to film a reunion with JoJo. It’s just… a really messy situation, and Kath clearly wasn’t willing to participate in more drama on camera.

Shortly after the news broke, Kath revealed they believe they experienced a form of ‘love bombing’ and confirmed they have separated from their partner.

Following the drama, Kath unfollowed JoJo on Instagram and then publicly announced their breakup on her own social media accounts.

Kath, who has been with JoJo since November 2024, shared a video saying she was in shock and didn’t know how to start explaining something.

I’m completely numb and confused right now. After watching this situation develop for two weeks without getting any answers from the person involved, I feel like I finally need to address it.

Okay, so it’s weird, but looking back, I think I really fell for someone who just laid it on thick at the beginning. It was like, an overwhelming rush of affection and attention… I don’t know if it’s what they call ‘love bombing’ or anything, but that’s honestly what it felt like to me. It was intense, and now I see it might have been a pattern, you know?

Hearing someone tell me I was their soulmate, getting a marriage proposal before the show, feeling deeply loved and cherished in private, and being upset by what I witnessed – but still wanting to talk things through and understand – that’s what I’m processing.

JoJo shared that they ended the relationship, adding, “I honestly feel even more embarrassed now.”

I traveled here in the last eight hours to attend my partner’s show and offer my support. Afterwards, I plan to deal with any difficult emotions I’m experiencing and process them.

I hadn’t even returned to the hotel when I went to the afterparty with – well, apparently my now ex – and got broken up with there.

I gathered they were experiencing mixed emotions and had come to the conclusion that I wasn’t who they envisioned building a future with.
