Why would two incredibly wealthy people, worth a total of £1.6 billion and with plenty of help available, be doing things themselves instead of delegating them?

This wasn’t a simple shopping trip; it was essentially a publicity stunt orchestrated by Lewis Hamilton, the Formula One champion, and Kim Kardashian, the reality TV star, both known for carefully managing their public image.

In my view, the relationship they’ve been portraying over the last four months is one of the most over-the-top, costly, and clearly fake romances I’ve ever seen.

As a long-time follower, I’m hearing from someone who’s really in the know, and it sounds like this whole thing with Kim and Lewis being seen shopping for interiors is totally staged. But honestly, Kim is a pro at this – she knows exactly what she’s doing! The pictures immediately make everyone think they’re moving in together, and it keeps the buzz about them as a couple going for another week. It’s clever, really.

If Kim decided she wanted a rug, top-quality stores would bring options directly to her home, allowing her to choose one while relaxing on her couch.

Kim Kardashian recently revealed on her sister Khloe’s podcast that she hasn’t gone grocery shopping in 15 years, except for a staged scene on their reality show, Keeping Up With the Kardashians.

Kim said they definitely visited Erewhon, the organic grocery store, while filming their show. She thinks it’s been about 12 to 15 years since they last went there.

Because if Kim Kardashian does not want to be seen, she will not be.

She was married to the rapper Kanye West for nearly ten years before they divorced in 2021. He’s known for being both outspoken and intensely private.

The couple shares four children: North, age 12, Saint, 10, Chicago, 8, and Psalm, 6. Before now, details about their daily lives were rarely public unless featured on the family’s popular and profitable television show.

Honestly, it’s still so shocking to even think about. Kim is usually so fearless, but everyone knows how deeply affected she was by that awful robbery in Paris – almost ten years ago now! Eight masked men, holding her at gunpoint… it was terrifying, and they stole millions in jewelry. It genuinely traumatized her, and it’s something I still can’t believe happened to her.

As a dedicated follower of their relationship, I was so excited to finally see them share a kiss! After four months of being together and with every move documented, it was the first time the media actually caught them being affectionate like that. It felt like a real milestone for them, and I was thrilled to see it!

Their first meeting in January at Estelle Manor – a very exclusive club in the Cotswolds popular with Hollywood stars, wealthy investors, and fashion industry leaders – remains shrouded in secrecy.

Information about their private getaway was sold to a tabloid newspaper for £15,000. It’s unclear where the money ended up.

If my assessment is correct, this whole affair seems to have been a costly publicity move for the couple. They appear determined to publicize their relationship worldwide, likely spending a fortune on private jet travel.

Following an initial meeting in the Cotswolds, Kardashian and Hamilton traveled to Paris two days later to showcase the partnership between Kardashian’s brand, Skims, and Nike.

The two were seen going into a Paris hotel together, and it seemed like a deliberate move when a source shared with People magazine – a publication celebrities often use to announce news – that it was a ‘romantic meeting’.

After the 2026 Chinese Grand Prix, where he finished third, Lewis Hamilton traveled to Tokyo. He was seen walking with someone, and photos quickly spread online, causing a huge reaction from fans. He was scheduled to race in Japan that same weekend.

All of which begs the question – if it is a stunt, why are they doing this? Could it be for money?

Since joining Formula 1 in 2007, Lewis Hamilton has reached incredible heights, matching the record for most World Championships with seven wins.

He’s not just talented; he’s also a smart businessman who has always wanted to become a major global star and a key figure in the fashion world.

Kim Kardashian, a leading figure in branding, is a natural fit to help with this, and the relationship could be mutually beneficial.

Since its launch in 2019, Skims has become a $5 billion company, and a key part of its success has been partnerships with major sports stars like Serena Williams, 44.

Formula 1 has become incredibly popular lately, and Kim is likely aware of that. Given that Lewis is a family friend, both of them will probably leverage their connection to help each other.
