Dexter: Resurrection Season 2 Gets Major Update From Paramount+

I’m so excited – they’ve officially started filming the second season! And get this – one of our favorite characters from Season 1 is going to be a bigger part of the story this time around. I can’t wait to see what happens!

Production for Season 2 of Dexter: Resurrection officially started on Wednesday. Filming is taking place in New York City, just like the first season, with Michael C. Hall reprising his role as Dexter Morgan. The official Dexter Instagram account shared a new video of Hall announcing the start of filming, which you can watch below.

Expect “Another Thrill Ride” in Dexter: Resurrection Season 2

In a new video, Michael C. Hall announced that James Remar, who played Dexter’s father Harry Morgan, will be back for Season 2 of Dexter: Resurrection. Hall also hinted at both familiar and new faces joining the cast as guest stars. He promised the new season will be another exciting and suspenseful ride, encouraging fans to watch for more details soon.

The upcoming season will see the return of several familiar faces, including the lead actress reprising her role as Charley. Jack Alcott, Ntare Guma Mbaho Mwine, Kadia Sarif, and Dominic Fumusa are also confirmed to return as their respective characters. In addition, Desmond Harrington will now be a series regular, continuing his role as Joey Quinn after appearing as a guest star in the first season.

Desmond Harrington Is Back as a Series Regular in Season 2

The show has added several new actors to the cast. Brian Cox, known for his role in Succession, will play the New York Ripper, a serial killer who begins targeting his past victims again. Dan Stevens joins the cast as the Five Borough Killer, and Nona Parker Johnson will play an NYPD training officer—who also happens to be the captain’s daughter.

In Season 2 of Dexter: Resurrection, Dexter Morgan (Michael C. Hall) is caught between tracking two dangerous killers – a well-known one and another who is creating chaos in New York City – all while struggling with a personal crisis. Meanwhile, his son, Harrison (Jack Alcott), is also seeking justice, leading both father and son into their most challenging situation yet.

Clyde Phillips, who also serves as showrunner, leads the team of executive producers. Joining him are stars Hall and Reynolds, along with Marcos Siega, Tony Hernandez, and Lilly Burns. John Goldwyn, Sara Colleton, Veronica West, Kirsa Rein, Tanner Bean, and Katrina Mathewson also serve as executive producers on the series.
