A24’s adaptation of Elden Ring has found some of its most iconic characters in new set photos.
Following the immense success and award-winning run of the game over two years, a film adaptation secretly entered development when writer and director Alex Garland presented a completed script to A24 in May 2025. The project moved forward quickly, and the cast soon included Cailee Spaeny (known for Beef), Kit Connor (Heartstopper), and Ben Whishaw (Paddington), all in roles that haven’t been revealed yet.
Filming for the Elden Ring series is happening in the UK, and fans have started sharing pictures from the set. One Twitter user, UnBoxPHD, posted photos appearing to show actress Emma Laird as Queen Marika, though A24 hasn’t officially confirmed any cast members yet.

So, UnBoxPHD dropped a video and a couple of pics of the Dung Eater from the movie, and let me tell you, it looks amazing! They built a completely practical suit for the character, and in one shot, he’s hanging from chains in front of this huge building while people just walk by like it’s nothing. It’s a really striking image, and honestly, it’s got me even more hyped for the film.

The latest set photos and video from UnBoxPHD reveal a first glimpse of Kit Connor, known for his role in Heartstopper. He was spotted talking to crew members while wearing a large rain jacket that concealed his character’s medieval-style clothing, keeping his appearance largely hidden.
