A Current Affair host Ally Langdon breaks down in tears as widow of father of two, 34, who fell to his death while tiling a roof just metres from home recounts his last moments: ‘I just started screaming’

Allison Langdon became visibly emotional and cried during Wednesday’s episode of A Current Affair.

The talk show host was interviewing Kiara Dean, whose husband, Tyler Dean, tragically died in a work accident in January. Tyler was a roof tiler and was only 34 years old.

Kiara, who lived nearby, called her husband after she noticed a lot of police and paramedics arriving at the scene.

‘I knew Tyler was working in the street, so I just straight away called him,’ Kiara told Langdon.

‘He didn’t answer. I tried to call again – he didn’t answer.’

Kiara hurried to the location and was shocked to discover the ambulances were there because of Tyler.

‘They just kept saying, “he’s had a really bad accident”,’ she said.

Tyler was rushed to Sydney’s Westmead Hospital, where he was placed on life support.

Doctors delivered the heartbreaking news to Kiara that her husband had sustained a severe brain injury and wouldn’t be able to recover.

Langdon was deeply affected when Kiara explained that doctors had said Tyler’s injuries were too severe to fix and he wouldn’t survive.

I just started screaming “no, no”,’ she said.

Kiara lay by her husband’s side for two days, before his life support was terminated.

She said she’ll always cherish those moments of simply being able to hold him and hold his hand.

Tyler was an organ donor, and his liver and kidneys helped save six people, including a teenage girl who was seventeen years old.

‘He did all of that,’ a highly emotional Langdon said.

‘In a way… he does live on, in six other beautiful humans, who have been given a second chance.’

Tyler left behind his wife Kiara, 32, and their two young sons, Harvey, 4, and Cohen, 4.

A GoFundMe page states that Harvey and Cohen have tragically lost their incredibly loving and devoted father, who was everything to them.

Kiara is heartbroken after the loss of her life partner and the person she loved most.

Tyler was a devoted family man who worked tirelessly and loved deeply. His family was his top priority, and he dedicated everything to them.

As a lifestyle expert, I’ve seen what truly matters, and this is it: he poured his heart and soul into creating a wonderful life for his family – Kiara and their sons. He wasn’t just focused on providing for them, but on building a future brimming with love, chances to grow, and most importantly, his presence in their lives. It was about quality time and creating lasting memories, not just material success.

‘That life and those dreams have been tragically cut short.’

The Go Fund Me has so far raised $289,127 of the $300,000 target.
