Into the Woods,
On a Wednesday evening, Sir David Jason graced the premiere of Cirque du Soleil’s Corteo performance at the esteemed Royal Albert Hall alongside his loving wife Gill Hinchcliffe and their daughter Sophie.
The news arrives only a few hours following the announcement that Diane Langton, who starred alongside him in Only Fools and Horses, has passed away at the age of 77.
84-year-old David confidently waved a thumbs up for the photographers as he strutted down the red carpet, sporting a stylish grey trench coat and flat cap.
In contrast, the actor’s wife, Gill, donned striking black-and-white trouser pants paired with a satin blouse, and their daughter, Sophie, opted for a beautiful dress embellished with butterflies.
Following the passing of Diane, who had a long-standing career in television and films spanning over six decades, David’s outing occurred. The reason behind her death remains undetermined at this point.
On Wednesday afternoon, her agent announced with regret that Diane Langton had passed away earlier that day.
Diane’s career was both prosperous and exceptional, as she graced stages, screens in films, and televisions. Notably, she portrayed the unforgettable character of Nana McQueen in Hollyoaks since 2007 up until now.
He mentioned that Diane received her training at the Corona Academy, then kick-started her dancing career by performing with various ballet troupes across Europe. Later, she made guest appearances on That Was the Week That Was and The London Palladium.
As a well-established figure in the entertainment industry, I found myself in an illustrious career path. Yet, it was my role as the beloved character, Nana, in the Channel 4 teen drama “Hollyoaks,” that resonated deeply with a new generation of admirers.
In 2007, the actress debuted in the role of a bold, pink-haired matriarch. She starred in the series for a period of two years, after which she decided to part ways with it in 2009.
Initially, she took up her role again in the year 2012. After departing once more in 2023, she came back in the year 2024.
In 1985 and 1986, Langton appeared in two episodes of the renowned BBC sitcom “Only Fools and Horses,” portraying Derek ‘Del Boy’ Trotter’s romantic interest, June Snell.
Or:
Langton made appearances as June Snell, Del Boy Trotter’s love interest, in two episodes of the classic BBC sitcom “Only Fools and Horses” during 1985 and 1986.
Originating from Somerset, the actress embarked on her journey as a dancer initially, then honed her acting skills on both stage and screen after that.
In 1959, she made her first movie appearance sharing the screen with renowned British actors Charles Hawtrey and Kenneth Williams in the classic comedy “Carry On Teacher.” Although her role was not officially recognized, she appeared as a schoolgirl in the film.
Throughout the 1970s, she gained significant acting roles in British comedies such as Percy’s Progress, the hit sitcom The Rag Trade, and the risqué series Confessions of a Pop Performer, solidifying her presence in the entertainment industry.
Backstage at the electrifying Cirque du Soleil’s Corteo, it was nothing short of a star-studded affair! With radiant personalities like Nicola Roberts, Louise Thompson, Arabella Chi, and none other than Georgia Toffolo gracing the red carpet, I simply couldn’t help but feel my heart fluttering with excitement.
Nicola exuded casual elegance wearing a sleek black midi dress, whereas Georgia bundled herself up in a lengthy trench coat.
In a revealing black mini-dress featuring a deep neckline, expectant Arabella paired the outfit with see-through stockings and high heels, showcasing her elegant figure.
As a lifestyle connoisseur, let me tell you that I recently noticed Myleene Klass making quite the fashion statement. She donned a stylish burgundy velvet blazer and matching trousers, which she paired elegantly with a delicate lace bodysuit.
Nick Knowles and fiancé Katie Dadzie put on a loved-up display for cosy snaps at the event.
The famous Circus of Soleil is back in London, presenting its Corteo performance at the Royal Albert Hall from January 9 until March 2.
As an ardent admirer and dreamer at heart, I can’t help but envision myself, Mauro – the whimsical clown, departing from this world in a grand spectacle reminiscent of a joyous carnival, graced by celestial angels. ‘Corteo’, as it unfolds, becomes an exuberant testament to life’s vibrancy and beauty.
The website explains that the show skillfully combines extravagance with tender moments, mixes laughter with sadness, and honors the clown’s power, fragility, knowledge, and essence as a human being, all accompanied by enchanting, lyrical music.
