Miranda Lambert helps raise over $200K for animal victims of the LA fires
Miranda Lambert‘s charity for animals, MuttNation Foundation, collaborated with rural merchandise store Tractor Supply in an effort to collect more than $200,000 for animals affected by the wildfires in Los Angeles.
On a Sunday morning, the 41-year-old singer of country tunes expressed gratitude to the donors in public for their contributions towards the “Relief for Rescues” Fund, which was initiated on Thursday.
Beginning from today, you have the opportunity to contribute to relief funds at Tractor Supply, either online or in-store, with every penny going directly towards these funds. This was shared by Miranda, who has an impressive following of 27.2 million on social media.
From MuttNation and Tractor Supply, a heartfelt thank you to all of our friends for your kindness and support. We will continue to send our best wishes, love, and positive energy to you!
According to Lambert, these funds will be advantageous for numerous animal shelters in the affected area, among them being Pasadena Humane.
The local animal sanctuary, backed by the community, has accepted more than 400 animals displaced by the Eaton Fire. Among these are a tiny five-day-old pup discovered beneath a fallen structure.
On last Friday, Pasadena Humane communicated that they would now be receiving monetary contributions exclusively, due to an immense wave of support. They explained their reason as being already well-stocked, and any further donated goods could potentially disrupt their ongoing operations.
In 2009, the Wildfire singer started a charitable organization known as the MuttNation Foundation along with her mother, Bev Lambert. Since then, they have successfully amassed more than $9 million to aid various small animals.
Firefighters have now been fighting these blazes for six days, tackling four separate wildfires that have collectively scorched over 38 square miles (38,276 acres). The fire in Pacific Palisades is currently at 11% control, while the Altadena area is seeing a slightly better situation with 15% containment.
Authorities have verified that 16 people have died, while more than 105,000 residents continue to be subject to evacuation directives. Preliminary estimates suggest that the destruction and financial losses could amount to anywhere between $135 billion and $150 billion.
A significant number of famous figures have unfortunately had their homes destroyed by the fire. This group includes Mel Gibson, Paris Hilton, Jeff Bridges, Anna Faris, Cary Elwes, Diane Warren, Anthony Hopkins, John Goodman, Eugene Levy, Steve Guttenberg, Jennifer Grey, Ricki Lake, Matt Damon, Miles Teller, Billy Crystal, and Adam Brody.
Miranda will mark the sixth year of marriage with her second spouse, Brendan Mcloughlin, on January 26th.
In his 33rd year, a former NYPD officer finds himself eight years junior to Lambert. He became a father to six-year-old Landon (born to Kaihla Rettinger) just three days after encountering the three-time Grammy award recipient in 2018.
In the summer of 2015, I, a lifestyle enthusiast, found myself parting ways with my country music partner, Blake Shelton, after finalizing our divorce. Interestingly enough, this split occurred three months prior to Blake sparking a romantic connection with his third wife, Gwen Stefani, on the set of NBC’s The Voice.
Artist Lambert, currently boasting a massive audience of 5.7 million monthly listeners on Spotify, has no upcoming live performances until April 5 at the Two Step Inn located in Georgetown, Texas.
