The Inbetweeners star James Buckley reveals he ‘doesn’t have much drive’ to be an actor after his staggering fortune from Cameo videos was revealed

James Buckley himself confessed that he lacks significant motivation when it comes to acting, as he shared insights into his professional journey.

37-year-old actor, known for his role as Jay Cartwright in the popular E4 sitcom The Inbetweeners during the late 2000s, has shared that he’s not eager or anxious to pursue additional acting opportunities.

During an interview on James Martin’s Saturday Kitchen on ITV, James shared that his preferred activity is spending time at home.

Next year, there will be a movie release featuring me, and it’s titled “Mother’s Pride.” I recently worked on this project alongside Martin Clunes, an experience that turned out to be quite enjoyable.

To put it simply, acting isn’t something I’m eagerly pursuing. Frankly, I don’t have a strong passion for it. What I truly enjoy is being at home with the people and things I love.

In addition, James was featured on the television series “White Gold” and played a leading role in the stage play “2:22 A Ghost Story” which premiered in 2024 on the West End.

He is now married to model Clair Meek who he shares son Harrison, 11, and nine-year-old Jude with.

The duo runs their self-produced YouTube show titled “At Home With the Buckleys,” while it’s believed that James earned over a million pounds from the celebrity greeting platform, Cameo.

James mentioned: “When it comes to taking a vacation, I find myself growing restless by the end of the first day because frankly, I’ve got my gaming setup and other comforts at home… If given a break, I’d prefer spending an entire week at home with no plans or commitments. That would be my ideal getaway!

Previously, the actor from Finders Keepers stated that a key reason for him to reprise his role on The Inbetweeners again would be due to monetary considerations.

He shared with Headliners: “It’s common knowledge that it would yield the highest profit for me at this moment.

I am a parent, part of a family, and I have financial responsibilities that need attention, which can impact decisions, taking those factors into account as a necessary, yet potentially mundane aspect of my role as a family provider.

I often ponder over things, and if myself and three other friends, along with writers Iain Morris and Damon Beesley, were to gather for a discussion and ask ‘Should we do it again?’, I am confident that our project would be approved immediately.

Viewers of The Masked Singer are confidently certain, with no room for doubt, that the performer known as Teeth is indeed James in disguise.

Participants of the popular ITV program have been overwhelmingly posting their guesses about the identity hidden beneath the mask, with a significant number wagering on potential candidates such as Alan Carr, Rylan Clark, Alex Scott, among others.

However, eventually, numerous individuals arrived at the belief that it might indeed be James. Some even went as far as stating they were completely convinced by this theory, expressing their thoughts on the platform.

I’ve been enjoying “The Masked Singer” and I think “Teeth” might be James Buckley. Just putting it out there since I often get things wrong, but I’m quite confident about this one, laughing out loud!

‘Is this James Buckley ? #theteeth #themaskedsinger’; Teeth is 100% james Buckley #maskedsinger’.
