Jennifer Lopez ‘cancels all media appearances’ amid LA fires so she can ‘focus on supporting the community’
It’s been said that Jennifer Lopez has decided to withdraw from all her scheduled media engagements, due to the devastating wildfires currently burning in Los Angeles.
Starting from next Tuesday, the region experienced its most intense windstorms in more than ten years, igniting fires that devastated numerous buildings and sadly costing at least 11 lives throughout the week.
Approximately 130,000 individuals received evacuation instructions or advisories, with search teams deploying specially trained dogs capable of locating human remains amidst the debris.
Over 130,000 people were either ordered to evacuate or given warnings, as specialized dog units were dispatched to find missing persons within the rubble.
A fire burning in the Pacific Palisades has destroyed several celebrity houses, among them are the homes of Paris Hilton, Jeff Bridges, Anthony Hopkins, John Goodman, James Woods, Miles Teller, Tina Knowles, and Anna Faris.
It’s been revealed that the crisis led Lopez, aged 55, to cancel her promotional events for her film Unstoppable, set to premiere on Amazon Prime next Friday.
According to someone close to her, she places great emphasis on assisting the Los Angeles community during these exceptionally challenging times.
In a heartfelt account, I delve into the inspiring tale of “Unstoppable,” a biographical film where I, as the narrator, portray Jharrel Jerome, the resilient actor who brings to life Anthony Robles – an unbeatable one-legged wrestling champion. In this role, I am also fortunate enough to personify Judy, played by Lopez, the loving mother who stands by her son’s side throughout his incredible journey.
Originally, the movie was set to debut at the famous TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood on Tuesday. However, due to the ongoing wildfires, the event was unfortunately cancelled.
In seven days, Lopez was scheduled to jet off to New York for a series of talk show appearances promoting the movie on programs such as Live with Kelly and Ryan, Today, The View, and The Tonight Show hosted by Jimmy Fallon.
Instead, it’s reported that she chose to forego her vacation completely, instead focusing her efforts on aiding the firefighting operations in Los Angeles.
This week, she shared Instagram Stories that provided resources for people affected, with details on shelters and animal care among them.
According to reports, she has been reaching out to her ex-husband Ben Affleck and their children Violet (19), Fin (16), and Samuel (12) during the ongoing wildfire crisis.
After discovering that her ex-spouse and his entire family were among those facing evacuation orders, which now stretch from the Pacific Coast to Pasadena inland, it is reported that the actress expressed feelings of worry and anxiety.
According to a source, she contacted Page Six immediately upon learning that Ben’s house might be at risk and was evacuated. The source also mentioned that she wanted to check on his wellbeing throughout this entire incident.
Furthermore, she made it clear that she’s available to support both him and their shared children, whom he has with his former spouse, Jennifer Garner.
‘She offered her support for whatever they need,’ the insider noted.
Overjoyed and grateful beyond words, I couldn’t help but breathe a sigh of relief when I learned that Ben Affleck’s cherished abode had miraculously withstood the ferocious wildfires that were ravaging Los Angeles.
After fleeing his residence, he was seen heading for safety at Garner’s home.
Even though Affleck’s house managed to survive while numerous Westside celebrities and Pacific Palisades residents saw their homes destroyed, Affleck still isn’t completely safe yet.
Winds are persistently strong in Los Angeles, maintaining the potential to spark fresh fires despite showing some signs of moderation compared to their peak intensity on Tuesday night and Wednesday morning.
Following the fire that occurred in Pacific Palisades, additional blazes have ignited further to the east in Altadena, leading to significant evacuations in nearby Pasadena on Tuesday evening.
On Wednesday, additional fires erupted in the Hollywood Hills, posing a threat to densely inhabited areas within Hollywood.
In recent times, the individual known as Armageddon Star moved into Pacific Palisades, having purchased a residence there for a substantial $20.5 million, shortly after parting ways with Lopez.
As a lifestyle connoisseur, I must admit that my current abode may not rival the lavish mansion we once shared in Beverly Hills, but let me assure you, it certainly doesn’t fall short of spacious comfort. With a generous 6,247 square feet under its roof and five cozy bedrooms, six bathrooms make it their home, it offers ample room to unwind and relax.
Before moving into his present residence, he resided in a grand, 38,000-square-foot Georgian house, which he and Lopez acquired for $60 million.
In my role as a lifestyle expert, I must share that this stunning residence boasts an impressive 12 bedrooms and 24 bathrooms, offering countless amenities such as a spacious 12-car garage and an elevator. However, despite listing it for a hefty $68 million, the lucky buyer has yet to be found by its current owners.
Before Jennifer made her divorce official, Ben was spotted residing in a temporary residence in Brentwood, a location not far from his own house, keeping him within the same community as his ex-wife Jennifer Garner and their children.
Despite the good fortune that Ben has encountered thus far, other celebrities have faced heartache as a result of the destructive fires.
The homes of celebrities such as Adam Brody and Leighton Meester, along with Anna Faris’ residence, were unfortunately demolished.
As a die-hard admirer, I can’t help but feel the heartache alongside John Goodman and Anthony Hopkins, whose cherished homes were reduced to ashes by the devastating fires. Similarly, Billy Crystal and Eugene Levy have been left in the same sorrowful predicament, their once-beloved houses now nothing more than a memory.
Actor James Woods posted a video showing the fast-approaching fire just moments before he had to leave, as his home was later destroyed by it.
Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag, famous for The Hills, watched their house get consumed by a wildfire. A photograph captured Spencer’s solemn gaze as the fire neared, before their family were compelled to evacuate.
