Cher, 78, admits she doesn’t know who she lost her virginity to in hilarious interview as she declares ‘I don’t remember the guy’
On Jimmy Kimmel Live on Tuesday, Cher confessed that she couldn’t recall the identity of the person with whom she first had sexual intercourse.
78-year-old music icon, originally named Cheryl Sarkisian, opened up about her personal experiences during an interview for a talk show hosted by a prominent figure, held within their Los Angeles studio, as they discussed her recently published memoir.
Jimmy pointed out that in her autobiography, Cher recounts the evening she lost her virginity to a man in Toluca Lake, a location he mentioned wasn’t too distant from the studio.
However, it seemed as though Cher had overlooked the fact that she mentioned that specific detail in her book, causing her to break into laughter.

‘I did?’ Cher asked, sounding surprised, before she started laughing and turned to the audience.
Jimmy asked, “Is that location not too distant from here? Would you be able to guide us there since I presume you might recognize it?
Cher laughed as she replied: I wouldn’t remember the spot and I don’t remember the guy!’
‘He hasn’t reached out to you?’ Jimmy asked. ‘You know he must have been telling everybody right?’
Cher said: ‘No. I have people that I’ve mentioned in there and I’m wondering what do they think?’
In her interview on Jimmy Kimmel, the artist shared insights into what kept her with Sonny Bono for such a lengthy period, as she discussed the first part of her recently published memoir.
In the mid-1960s, she initially rose to prominence as one half of the act Sonny & Cher, while she was married to Sonny Bono between 1964 and 1975. This period in their lives was marked by ups and downs.
Back in 1971, I was part of the cast that graced The Sonny & Cher Comedy Hour. This TV show, as the pop legend herself would say, was a significant factor in keeping our marriage strong for as long as it lasted. It was more than just a comedy hour; it was a bonding experience that we shared with millions of viewers every week.
Cher shared, “There’s something I need to tell you. Performing the show was crucial for us because, on that stage, we shared countless moments of joy. It was a place where we felt equally important.
“I must say, we truly adored it. It brought us together seamlessly, making our bond stronger for a longer duration than anticipated, all while providing immense joy and amusement.
Additionally, she refers to a person she called out in her book, yet chose not to identify during interviews on TV, who played a significant role in assisting Cher with her departure from Sonny.
In a pondering moment, Cher mused: “I wonder what those individuals I’ve spoken of might be thinking, especially that one individual who played a significant role in my departure from Sonny.
Pondering my words, I shared his full name. Now, I find myself curious to know his thoughts on that. Given his kind nature, I assume he’d be pleased, as he truly was an exceptional individual.
She mentioned that she believes this specific individual is currently in Texas, yet she showed signs of irritation when Jimmy suggested locating him for a call.
Initially, she published the initial segment of her autobiography – detailing her life prior to her musical break to concentrate on acting – in November 2024. The subsequent part is due for release in November 2025.
Yet, with a chuckle, Cher confessed that she hadn’t begun the latter part, prompting Jimmy’s doubt about the delivery of the book by November.
In her own words, Cher acknowledged that she was running behind schedule. Furthermore, she disclosed that she had completed her work at the very last moment, as they were already preparing to release it.
My book was published on the specified deadline, but to be honest, I was slightly late. However, I believe I will do better next time.
