Jennifer Lopez’s “special” rom-com with Ted Lasso’s Brett Goldstein confirms Netflix release

Jennifer Lopez’s upcoming romantic comedy, Office Romance, is set to premiere on Netflix on June 5th. The film stars Brett Goldstein of Ted Lasso, and he also helped write the script.

The movie stars Lopez and Goldstein as two colleagues who find themselves in a messy situation when they let their feelings for each other take over. It’s described as a funny and daring romantic comedy centered around a hidden workplace relationship.

The show also stars well-known actors like Jodie Whittaker and Betty Gilpin, alongside Tony Hale, Bradley Whitford, Brian Gallivan, Ali Stroker, Rick Hoffman, and Edward James Olmos.


Ol Parker, the director of films like Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again and Ticket to Paradise, is directing this project. Brett Goldstein, known for his role as Roy Kent in Ted Lasso, is also a producer, along with Jennifer Lopez.

Goldstein shared with Tudum that working on the romantic comedy with Jennifer Lopez and the rest of the cast still feels surreal. He jokingly said he half-expects someone to reveal it’s all a prank, but so far, it seems like the project is actually happening.

Jennifer Lopez will soon be starring in a new Netflix movie called The Last Mrs. Parrish. This crime thriller is adapted from Liv Constantine’s 2017 novel of the same title. The story centers around a con artist whose scheme gets complicated when she sets her sights on a rich couple.

Isabel May plays Amber, who tries to become friends with Mrs. Parrish (played by Lopez) as part of a plan to win over her husband and marry him. However, Amber’s scheme gets more difficult when she discovers how troubled Mrs. Parrish’s life actually is.

Filming for the movie started in September and stars Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Debi Mazar, and Pierson Fodé alongside the main cast. Robert Zemeckis, an Academy Award winner, is directing.

Office Romance lands on Netflix on 5 June.
