Jackie ‘O’ Henderson gets asked out on a date after revealing her fears of being single forever – but there is one big problem

As a seasoned radio host and a woman who has been through two marriages, I find myself intrigued by the youthful persistence of Kieran, our 18-year-old carpenter suitor. While his offer to buy me a Red Bull might not be as enticing as a diamond ring from an older gentleman, I must admit there’s something endearing about his determination and ambition at such a young age.

It appears that Jackie O Henderson, who previously expressed discomfort about living a single life, is now receiving numerous advances from men hoping to court her.

As a seasoned lifestyle guide, I found myself caught off guard during my broadcast on Friday, when a skilled tradesman from Sydney unexpectedly proposed to me live on air.

But there was one catch – the young Casanova was a teenager.

Kieran, who is 18 years old, called into The Kyle and Jackie O Show to inquire about Jackie’s weekend plans.

After mentioning her intention to go to a roller derby match, Kieran swiftly inquired whether it would be possible for him to join the attractive lady.

He even offered to buy Jackie a Red Bull energy drink. 

Following Kieran’s proposal, Jackie was curious about the accuracy of his stated age, so she asked, “Is it true what the screen says, that you’re 18?

‘We don’t have to worry about that,’ came Kieran’s smooth reply. 

Given that Kieran was almost half Jackie’s age, she very much did worry about that.

She agreed, expressing her thoughts as, ‘It seems correct to me. If I were in a relationship with someone who was 18, it would appear unsuitable to many, and personally, I’d feel the same way.’

Displaying a Herculean persistence, Kieran responded with: ‘I’m a very mature 18-year-old.’

It appears there was some aspect in Kieran’s answers that sparked Jackie’s curiosity, leading her to ask him to share more about himself.

‘I recently just bought a four-wheel drive. I’m a carpenter, nearly fully qualified. Not many 18-year-old’s fully qualified, Jackie,’ he said, selling himself further.

The pair bonded even further when the young carpenter left school in year 8 to pursue his trade.

‘I get that,’ Jackie replied. ‘I left in year 10. I didn’t prosper at school at all.’

Later, she acknowledged Kieran’s diligence by praising, “Wow, well done! You’ve earned yourself a four-wheel drive now.

Seizing another chance to chat amiably with the radio personality, Kieran chimed in: ‘Indeed, and it appears there’s a passenger seat. It seems to bear the name Jackie too.’

It seems like Kieran’s charm might have had an effect on Jackie, who sweetly responded with, “Oh, I adore you! You’re simply delightful.

On Thursday, when newsreader Brooklyn Ross inquired about the possibility of spending the remainder of her life alone, Jackie expressed that she was open to finding love once more.

‘I am not totally ok with that,’ Jackie said.

As a devoted fan, I can’t help but feel this intense longing isn’t unusual or unjustified. We crave human connection, it’s part of our nature, it’s what makes us who we are.

As a lifestyle expert, I must admit that the concept of something being eternal isn’t always desirable. However, if we’re talking about a commitment that lasts for the next three to four years, I can certainly find a way to make it workable.

In the past, Jackie has been married not once but twice. Her first marriage was to DJ ‘Ugly’ Phil O’Neil during the late ’90s.

Jackie later tied the knot with British photographer Lee in 2003, and together they had a child named Catalina “Kitty” Henderson, who was born in December 2010.

In October 2018, the pair publicly declared that they were parting ways, yet they maintain a friendly bond while jointly raising their thirteen-year-old child, Kitty, in an amiable manner.
