John Amos' outraged family 'refuse to rule out possibility of foul play' in his death as they turn on actor's son

As a seasoned investigative journalist with decades of experience unraveling complex stories, I can’t help but feel a deep sense of unease reading this heart-wrenching account. The death of KC Amos, a man who brought joy and laughter to millions through his acting career, seems shrouded in mystery and suspicion.

A single day following the demise of John Amos, who was known for his roles in Good Times and Roots, additional family turmoil concerning him is surfacing.

On August 21st, it became known that he had died due to natural reasons. However, his daughter Shannon Amos disclosed that much of their family learned about it through the news, expressing feelings of confusion and unanswered questions regarding the circumstances surrounding his death.

Furthermore, Kelly Christopher ‘KC’ Amos, the actor’s son, issued a statement describing his father as a person with an incredibly kind and golden-hearted nature, whose love reached across the globe.

Meanwhile, it was Amy Goudy, another relative in the Amos family and the actor’s goddaughter, who shared a detailed statement on her Facebook page on Tuesday, suggesting that KC, along with Eugene Brummet and Belinda Foster, were responsible for keeping Amos away from other members of his family.

Moreover, she mentions that the remaining members of the family who endorsed the declaration – such as daughter Shannon, brother Leslie Franklin, and others – haven’t dismissed the possibility of suspicious circumstances surrounding his demise.

In their own words, here’s a message from John Amos’s family and dear companions: This announcement has been issued on behalf of our group.

With deep sorrow and regret, we find ourselves compelled to disclose the events leading up to our dad’s demise. He was a caring individual who illuminated numerous lives with his love.

They shared that they had just found out about his passing from news reports, as it happened 45 days ago, which came as a shock since neither our family nor any relatives were notified or informed.

The devastating news has left us stunned and saddened. Unfortunately, we don’t have a death certificate or details about where or why he passed away, but we understand that he was battling congestive heart failure and dementia. Our suspicion is that he may have been cremated to prevent any inquiry into the circumstances of his last days. They also mentioned that KC and others began to isolate him.

For approximately a year now, John Amos has been estranged from his immediate family and close confidants due to the actions of Kelly “KC” Amos, Eugene Brummet, and Belinda Foster. Our multiple efforts to keep in touch with him have been unsuccessful as KC has blocked our contact, closely supervised and limited his phone conversations, and damaged relationships with John’s daughter Shannon Amos, brother Leslie “Syl” Franklin, grandchildren Quiera Colston and Jhazz Williams, business manager Paul Baldessare, god-daughter Amy Goudy, niece Sherri Korsun, former accountant, and other cherished relatives, friends, and acquaintances.

‘On social media, KC presented a heartwarming depiction of a strong bond between father and son, but in private, things were more intricate. In reality, our dad struggled with dementia, so KC frequently guided John to construct online narratives that didn’t accurately portray their true situation,’ the family clarified.

They expressed worry that our father might have been overlooked and left alone in his last days, as pictures from worried neighbors and healthcare professionals were sent to us. A photograph even led to an Elder Neglect inquiry, but unfortunately, no wrongdoing was found.

It appears that KC has been in a similar situation before, involving his own mother, as suggested by the statement, ‘This scenario echoes the passing of Shannon and KC’s mother.’ Additionally, it was noted that KC prohibited family members from being involved in decision-making, while Shannon advocated for her presence and ensured her mother maintained control over her final days.

The statement further queries: Why didn’t medical experts, the coroner, or officials inform us about his death, and why didn’t KC personally contact any family member regarding this matter?

It seems crucial to us that some important questions get addressed, considering our suspicion that KC might have chosen to cremate John Amos without informing the family, possibly with ulterior motives such as tampering with potential wills or claiming insurance benefits. The fact that KC has faced issues with addiction and mental health, along with previous arrests, makes this situation even more troubling.

‘Though deeply grieving our father’s passing, we are also disheartened and angered by KC Amos’s behavior. We won’t dismiss the suspicion of misconduct, considering the roles of two people, Eugene Brummer and Belinda Foster (claimed to be John’s representative), whom we suspect might have exploited his vulnerable state as an elderly person.’ They further commented.

In a moment when we should be honorably mourning and joyfully recalling our father’s extraordinary life, we find ourselves unwillingly searching for justice and understanding. This was the closing sentiment of the statement, signed collectively by Shannon Amos (Daughter), Quiera Williams (Grand-daughter), Jasper and Nakia Williams (Son in Law & Wife), Amy Goudy (God-Daughter), Paul Baldessare (Business Manager), Leslie Franklin (Brother), Willie Quinney (Best Friend) and Sherri Korsun-Scott (Niece).

KC remains silent about these accusations in public, with no recent posts appearing on his Instagram or TikTok accounts since the 13th of August – a period of only eight days prior to Amos’ passing.

Not long after Goudy’s announcement, TMZ acquired Amos’s death certificate, which verified the concerns of his family that he had been cremated on August 30, exactly nine days following his demise.

As a lifestyle expert, I’d rephrase that to: “The document stating my father’s passing mentions Congestive Heart Failure as the reason for his demise. This ‘informant’ title indicates it was me who shared this tragic news with the authorities.

It also reveals that KC is in possession of the cremated remains, and no autopsy was performed.

Shannon Amos recently shared on her Instagram story that on the night her father passed away, someone claimed to be his daughter at the ER. However, she is his only child. It’s suspected this was Belinda Foster, the woman posing as his publicist. Sadly, he died without family by his side. If anyone has any information regarding this incident, please direct message me. All shared details will remain confidential.

Additionally, she posted a comment on Instagram from someone whose child was employed in the ER during the incident. This person questioned why it took so long for Shannon to make the announcement about his passing.

Shannon added in a caption, ‘Something is very wrong with this…’

In a post on her Instagram story, Amy Goudy stated, “We withdrew our accusations of elder abuse when KC took John from the hospital. However, it’s crucial that everyone understands the depth of his deceitfulness. He was not present when John passed away.

Goudy stated, “Belinda Foster, who claimed to be my representative, deceived me by saying she was my daughter. To make matters worse, we concealed the fact that she had passed away forty-five days earlier!
