This week brings a flurry of exciting new releases. Levi’s starts things off with a workwear collection made from organic cotton, created in partnership with Sky High Farm Goods to promote sustainable farming. Converse is releasing Dragon Ball Z-themed Chuck Taylor sneakers with detachable charms. Oakley is bringing back a limited-edition version of its classic Juliet sunglasses, hand-picked by Travis Scott. Fans of Studio Ghibli can find beautifully designed Porco Rosso t-shirts, while Balenciaga is celebrating the Qixi Festival with romantic designs and a unique crystal-covered bag. UNIQLO UT is launching a new One Piece collection featuring artwork from the Elbaph Arc. Levi’s is also collaborating with URBAN RESEARCH on a four-piece denim line with different styles and fits. Finally, HUMAN MADE’s Buffer label is paying tribute to the classic animated film The Land Before Time with nostalgic t-shirts designed like souvenirs from a dinosaur theme park.

Two new games, Shift at Midnight and Tears of Metal, launched on July 22nd. Shift at Midnight is a horror game with a classic survival horror look and is available on consoles and PC for Xbox Game Pass members. Tears of Metal is currently only playable on PC.

Okay, so the wait felt forever, but this week we finally got the first trailer for Avengers: Doomsday, and wow! It’s packed with exciting team-ups and clashes. We got a good look at characters like Thor, Captain America, Doctor Doom, Cyclops, and Yelena Belova, and the footage really highlighted what promises to be an epic showdown in the new Marvel movie.

Ever since the first full trailer for Avengers: Doomsday was released, fans have been buzzing about a specific scene. Many think the trailer might have accidentally shown one of the movie’s last moments. The trailer features Earth’s heroes – including the Avengers, Fantastic Four, and X-Men – getting ready to battle Doctor Doom. But a quick shot of Johnny Storm carrying an injured Sue Storm, both surrounded by a bright light, has really caught the attention of Marvel enthusiasts.

While understandable given the books skipped ahead almost thirty years, many fans were still upset that the story didn’t conclude with a third book. This also meant viewers never got to see the complete arc of Duarte, who was set up as the series’ most frightening villain.

The fourth season of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds arrives on Paramount+ this week, making it a great time to start watching or revisit this highly-rated sci-fi series. New episodes will be released weekly through late September 2026. This show takes place before the original Star Trek series from 1966 and continues the story from another popular prequel, Star Trek: Discovery. For any Star Trek fan, Star Trek: Strange New Worlds is a must-see this week.

Dick Wolf is known for creating hugely successful TV shows that often lead to spin-offs – and sometimes even spin-offs of those spin-offs, much like Shonda Rhimes and Ryan Murphy. While Law & Order first aired in 1990 and ran for twenty years, its 1999 spin-off, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, has actually become more popular. Though Law & Order was brought back in 2022, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit is the real powerhouse, with an impressive 594 episodes over 27 seasons.

Fans are disappointed to learn that Tales of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles won’t return for a third season after only two seasons aired. But there’s good news: the story isn’t over! It will continue in a new comic book series coming soon.
