Terrifier 3 official trailer teases a blood-soaked night of Christmas carnage
As a seasoned horror enthusiast who has braved countless nights of sleepless terror, I can confidently say that the impending release of Terrifier 3 is shaping up to be the most blood-curdling, scream-inducing event of the year. Damien Leone’s return to the director’s chair promises a Christmas season that will be anything but jolly and bright.
Instead of associating warmth, family, and gifts during the holidays, fans of the film Terrifier can expect a different kind of celebration this October, as they will be treated to an abundance of gore and screams of terror with the release of the third movie in the franchise. In fact, it appears that Christmas has come early for these horror enthusiasts, as the trailer for Terrifier 3 hints at a truly terrifying experience.
In a twist of holiday horror, director Damien Leone is back for another chilling installment, this time featuring Art the Clown dressed as Santa. While “Terrifier 2” left audiences fainting, this upcoming movie promises to be even more intense. Actor David Howard Thornton, who plays Art, revealed that during filming, there was a particular scene in the third film that nearly caused him to vomit. He shared this detail with Empire magazine.
That particular scene seems to stir quite a bit of debate, and it may shock some viewers with the depths to which the characters go in it.
It’s hard to imagine anything surpassing Allie’s extensive bedroom kill scene from Terrifier 2, but if anyone can genuinely up the ante from that it’s Leone.
The fresh trailer from Cineverse hints at possible interpretations of a significant upcoming scene. Could this moment be the infamous shower scene, which has been hinted at numerous times before, featuring a chainsaw-wielding character named Art breaking down the door to attack a couple who are bathing together? Additionally, there’s another intriguing scene where Art portrays Santa Claus at a mall, raising concerns about the safety of the children nearby.
Other significant scenes from the trailer depict a woman who seems injured, with bloodstains and a missing eye, expressing distress around what looks like a dining table. Additionally, there’s a scene where the character Vicky (Samantha Scaffidi) appears to be pulling out some visceral tissue from her mouth in one of the clips.
Based on rumors circulating online, it’s said that Terrifier 3 starts off with an extremely violent opening scene and later includes another disturbingly graphic kill, making the shower scene seem mild in comparison. If these leaks are accurate, then the infamous shower scene won’t be as explicit as the subsequent shocking scene. Given this information, it seems that the film is likely to be quite intense, causing Howard near vomiting when he watched it.
In addition to showing gruesome scenes, the trailer for “Terrifier 3” also hints at further details about the character Art the Clown. Siena Shaw (played by Lauren LaVera), who supposedly defeated Art in the last film, appears to be seeking aid from a mysterious group, which includes a figure wearing a metal mask that seems to be a demon or some other supernatural entity.
Without a doubt, there’s plenty happening in the trailer, and it’ll be captivating to see what theories people might develop before the exclusive theatrical release of “Terrifier 3” on October 11, 2024. This highly anticipated film will first make its worldwide premiere at Fantastic Fest next month.
