The festival shared a statement to Instagram on Sunday morning revealing her performance was cut by five minutes ‘due to production error’.
As a devoted follower who appreciates live performances, I regret to inform you that there was an unfortunate oversight during the production of Lana Del Rey’s exceptional set. We inadvertently truncated it by five minutes. On behalf of our team, we extend our sincerest apologies to Lana and her devoted fans for this inconvenience.
During her performance, she encountered audio problems that caused some spectators to depart after only hearing four songs.
The singer known for “Summertime Sadness” faced criticism after her performance, which began 15 minutes behind schedule and was criticized as being too depressing in its song selection.
She first revealed her collection featuring Norman Rockwell’s artwork, followed by a journey through Arcadia, “Without You,” and the West Coast.
Yet, Lana found herself grappling with technical problems due to loud ‘techno’ music emanating from a neighboring stage, overshadowing her own sounds.
As the audience strained to listen, they could be heard repeatedly calling out for the music to get louder, “Turn it up, turn it up!” due to the softness of the musician’s performance.
According to a source, TopMob was informed that she appeared stunning, with the performance having a castle-like ambiance. However, there were issues with the sound quality – it was almost inaudible at times, and background noise from another stage overpowered her performance.
At some moment, she inquired, “Are you able to listen to me above the techno beat?” The audience was echoing, “Make it louder”, and many departed after four songs.
She moved up to recline on the stage during a couple of songs, largely hidden from view, as many of her performances were melancholic and didn’t align with the festival’s lively atmosphere.
As a lifestyle connoisseur, I must share an intriguing observation from last night’s event. The anticipation was palpable as the audience eagerly awaited her performance, enduring an hour-long wait with patient enthusiasm. However, when she took the stage, it became apparent that the crowd wasn’t resonating with her selection of tunes. In retrospect, perhaps a more upbeat song would have better matched their vibe.
