Four-time Oscar nominee Jim Carrey, famous for films like “The Truman Show” and “Apollo 13,” recently shared that he almost quit the new series “Dutton Ranch” during its first season. He told Variety’s Marc Malkin at a premiere on Monday that he was prepared to leave the show. “Dutton Ranch” premiered in May on Paramount and Paramount+.

This bodes really well for another upcoming series called Below, which comes from Jesse McKeown (who worked on The Umbrella Academy). It also features a fantastic cast and tells a similar story, but this time the setting is a secluded town in Newfoundland. I can’t wait to see what Netflix does with both of these shows!
