As a longtime fan, what I’m really missing right now is the fast-paced, chaotic multiplayer that’s always been a huge part of what makes this series so awesome. I understood why Campaign Evolved didn’t have it, but honestly, I’m still hoping we get a new online experience with that same feel – I just want to jump back in and play!
MVRDV has won the international design competition for Rotterdam’s new Shift Embassy with their innovative “Rotterdam ROCKS!” concept. The building will feature a unique design of stacked, rock-like structures, intriguing cave-like spaces, and terraces resembling vertical tidal parks. Located in the Waterkant district, this project emphasizes sustainable, low-carbon construction and incorporates elements to support local biodiversity.

You know, I actually did talk with director Josh Boone about a potential second New Mutants movie. We were really optimistic about how the first one would do, and I’d pitched the idea of taking a superhero story – or even New Mutants specifically – and leaning hard into the horror elements. Sadly, everything got complicated with the Disney buyout and then, of course, the pandemic lockdowns kept pushing things back. It was frustrating, but that’s just how it went.

I was absolutely blown away by Rudy Guénaire’s apartment design! It’s this incredible, classic space with a stunning view of the Panthéon in Paris. He used these amazing steel details that remind me of Gae Aulenti’s work, and the floors are gorgeous – huge planks of German oak. What really got me was how he mixed custom furniture with Brazilian influences alongside vibrant onyx in the bathroom. It’s such a unique and beautiful combination!
Last night at the concert, Kaiser Chiefs frontman Ricky Wilson played the role of Teen Angel during a performance of ‘Beauty School Dropout,’ which is known for its memorable fantasy sequence featuring the character Frenchie.
The TV series takes a very different path than Hugh Howey’s novels – in the books, Bernard clearly died in the airlock scene, but the show surprisingly brings his character back.
