Jacen Syndulla should be in Skeleton Crew
As a veteran Star Wars gamer with decades of galactic adventures under my belt, let me tell you, the potential inclusion of Jacen Syndulla in the upcoming Mandoverse show “Skeleton Crew” has my heart racing faster than an X-wing on hyperdrive!
In the first season of Ahsoka, it wasn’t unexpected to see Jacen Syndulla appear, but I was taken aback by how frequently he was featured. Typically, child characters are merely additions for adult viewers and don’t get many opportunities to take center stage. However, Jacen played a significant part in the show, employing his Force abilities to locate Ahsoka Tano in the World Between Worlds and aid in her rescue. Evan Whitten delivered an outstanding performance in this role!
Reflecting on this, I find myself pondering an intriguing notion. Given his age at the time when they produced Ahsoka and Skeleton Crew, with its young cast, Jacen seems like an ideal fit for either of these shows.
Although it’s unclear how Skeleton Crew will align with the Mandoverse, we can expect the storyline to follow a group of children accidentally embarking on a cosmic journey, aiming to return home. Given the reappearance of Grand Admiral Thrawn and the growing Imperial Remnant, it’s likely these antagonists could hinder the kids’ journey.
As a gamer, I’d rephrase it like this: “If Jacen joins our crew, it ties the storyline back to the Mandoverse. If his son is among the missing children, it pulls Hera Syndulla into the fray alongside other parents in search of their kids. This adds an extra layer if the Imperial Remnants catch wind that the son of a top Resistance general is out there, unprotected. The chase for those kids becomes our mission.”
Additionally, Jacen too shows signs of being Force-sensitive, as portrayed by Jude Law’s character. Whether Law is a former Jedi, a dark side user, or simply an impartial party remains uncertain. If Law was a secretly practicing Jedi who survived Order 66, Jacen could potentially play a role in redeeming his father figure. Given that Kanan Jarrus, Hera Syndulla, Sabine Wren, and Garazeb “Zeb” Orrelios are part of the crew on the Ghost, it’s likely that Jacen has grown up hearing tales of his heroic father from them. This pure perspective he holds towards the Jedi could be instrumental in restoring the light within Law’s character.
As a devoted fan, I believe Jacen would perfectly complement the Skeleton Crew team within the Manodoverse. His presence could serve as a bridge connecting various narratives, enriching the overall storyline. Although it’s still speculation for now, I eagerly await the possibility of seeing this happen!
