Rebecca Ferguson joins Cillian Murphy in Peaky Blinders movie

As a die-hard fan of the gritty and captivating world of “Peaky Blinders,” I can hardly contain my excitement over the latest casting news for the upcoming movie. Rebecca Ferguson, an immensely talented actress known for her roles in films like “Mission: Impossible” and “Silo,” is joining Cillian Murphy in this long-awaited project.

Excitingly, Rebecca Ferguson is now the first big-name actor announced for the cast of the upcoming “Peaky Blinders” film.

According to Deadline, the actresses from “Mission: Impossible” and “Silo,” whose names are Ferguson and Murphy respectively, will collaborate with Cillian Murphy in the highly anticipated Netflix production. Though we’re yet to learn about Ferguson’s character, just knowing she’s part of the cast is exciting enough for us.

Murphy is set to return as Tommy Shelby in the upcoming film, with Steven Knight penning the script as the creator of “Peaky Blinders.” Tom Harper, who previously worked on the series both as a writer and director, will helm the production.

Filming is set to get underway later this year.

In June 2024, it was announced officially that a Peaky Blinders movie would be made, putting an end to years of rumors that the popular TV series might come back in a longer format after concluding its sixth and last season.

I was thrilled when Steven Knight and Tom Harper approached me to work together again on the movie adaptation of “Peaky Blinders.” It felt unfinished between Tommy Shelby and me, and now I get to be a part of this exciting project once more – a true treat for the dedicated fans.

Knight expressed his excitement: “I’m truly delighted that this Peaky Blinders film is coming to life. It promises a thrilling addition to the series, filled with intense action – an all-out Peaky Blinders battle.”

As a dedicated fan of Peaky Blinders who has followed the series since its inception, I can only imagine the anticipation and excitement building for the upcoming movie. However, I must admit that I’m left with a sense of uncertainty regarding the return of other beloved stars. The show has always been a testament to their exceptional acting skills, and their presence adds depth and authenticity to the storyline.

Prior to the movie’s formal announcement in June, Knight had mentioned that production was set to begin in September.

Based on my experience as a long-time movie enthusiast, I can relate to the excitement and anticipation that comes with the promise of a highly-anticipated film. Although we currently lack information about the plot, the creator’s assurance that it will be worth the wait resonates deeply with me.
