Watch absolutely brutal knockout to open Contender Series Season 8
As a long-time follower of MMA and a regular at UFC events, I can confidently say that the opening fight of Dana White’s Contender Series Season 8 was nothing short of electrifying! Lone’er Kavanagh delivered a knockout so brutal, it left fans and fighters alike stunned. It was like watching a freight train barrel through an unsuspecting deer – swift, powerful, and utterly devastating.
As a gamer, I can’t help but share my excitement about the kickoff of the eighth season of Dana White’s Contender Series on August 13. The opening fight between Lone’er Kavanagh and An Tuan Ho was nothing short of breathtaking, a knockout so brutal, it left me speechless. In just over two minutes, Kavanagh delivered a terrifying finish to Ho. What a way to start the season!
As a devoted fan, I witnessed a jaw-dropping moment when he crashed onto the mat, face-first, leaving me petrified as he remained motionless for several nail-biting minutes. Luckily, he managed to sit up and exit the Octagon under his own power. Check out the video below for this knockout spectacle. At present, it’s uncertain if Kavanagh will secure a contract due to his triumph, but given the brutal force of the final blow and Dana White’s immediate reaction from ringside, I’d say it’s more than likely.

Kavanagh remains unbeaten throughout his professional fights, pushing his tally to 7 wins. This latest triumph occurred during the Contender Series event. His last victory took place at Cage Warriors 169 in March, where he bested Shawn Marcos da Silva via a unanimous decision.
As a gamer who’d been unbeaten with six consecutive victories, I stepped into the ring for my first-ever Contender Series match, having bested Miguel Sanson in my last bout at LFA 176. Unfortunately, this time, I tasted defeat for the very first time in my career.
Fellow fighters and fans reacted to the brutal finish and the scary few moments afterward.
That was an insane finish to start this season of #DWCS
