Ving Rhames, known for his role in the “Mission: Impossible” films, is said to be getting better after experiencing a health issue while at a restaurant.
I was so worried to hear that Ving Rhames collapsed while having lunch with his family yesterday! TMZ reported that it happened at a restaurant, and thankfully the LA Fire Department told USA Today that paramedics were there quickly. They said he was treated right at the scene and then taken to the hospital. He’s 66, and I’m sending all my best wishes for a speedy recovery – he’s been Luther Stickell in all the Mission: Impossible movies, and it would be awful to lose him!
According to reports, the actor from “Jacob’s Ladder” has been discharged from the hospital and is doing well after the incident.
Ving Rhames’ manager, Brad Kramer, said that when he talked to the actor, he seemed his usual self and even told a joke over the phone.
Review: Even bad exposition can’t trip up Tom Cruise, flying high with ‘Mission: Impossible — The Final Reckoning’
Okay, as a huge movie fan, let me tell you, Tom Cruise’s action sequences – whether he’s underwater or flying – are absolutely incredible. But honestly, the movie throws a lot of information at you right away. Thankfully, the premiere at Cannes seemed to prove that audiences are willing to look past that and really enjoy the ride. It sounds like it’s going to be a hit!
Ving Rhames is the only actor, along with Tom Cruise, who has been in every ‘Mission: Impossible’ movie. He plays Luther Stickell, a vital partner to Cruise’s character, Ethan Hunt, and was especially important in the latest film, ‘Mission: Impossible — The Final Reckoning,’ released in 2025.
Ving Rhames is a prolific actor who has starred in many films, such as “Pulp Fiction” (1994), “Con Air” (1997), and “Dawn of the Dead” (2004). He’s also a well-known voice actor, famously playing Cobra Bubbles, a former secret agent turned social worker, in the animated movie “Lilo & Stitch” (2002).
I recently caught up with some of Ving Rhames’ latest projects, and he’s still bringing it! He’s got a role in the upcoming action flick “Uppercut,” due out in 2025, and he’s also been appearing in the series “Dope Thief.” But it’s not just acting – he’s also hosting a really engaging show on the History Channel called “History’s Deadliest With Ving Rhames,” which launched earlier this year. Definitely worth checking out if you’re a fan!
