Brooke Shields and her daughter Rowan often turn heads, and they did so again on Wednesday as they were photographed while out in New York City.

The 60-year-old actress, known for ‘The Blue Lagoon’, looked chic in a black leather dress and matching heels, highlighting her toned physique. The 22-year-old journalism student complemented her style with a black, studded maxi dress and heels of her own.

The couple, previously seen socializing with Jacob Elordi at a Frankenstein-themed event, seemed to be shooting a scene for Rowan’s upcoming reality show, Next Gen NYC.

In October 2025, news emerged that Shields’ daughter would be appearing on the second season of the Bravo series, with filming scheduled to wrap up in the spring.

The show centers around the lives of young adults – many of whom come from famous families – as they try to build their lives and careers in New York City.

The show also features the children of several Real Housewives stars, including Riley Burress (Kandi Burruss’s daughter), Gia Giudice (Teresa Giudice’s daughter), Brooks Marks (Meredith Marks’s son), Ariana Bierman (Kim Zolciak’s daughter), and Ava Dash (Damon Dash’s daughter), plus other young personalities.

Shields has consistently supported Rowan’s career goals and seems excited about her daughter’s involvement with Next Gen NYC.

Her daughter is pursuing a career in broadcast journalism and news. The proud mother shared with E! News last June that she’s gained experience at various media organizations, including covering red carpet events.

Brooke Shields, who shares 20-year-old daughter Grier with her husband Chris Henchy, 62, says people constantly tell her how wonderful her daughter is.

Shields explained that her daughter is incredibly likable. She said people constantly tell her how much they adore her – even strangers will approach her and express their affection, especially when she’s doing interviews or appearing on television.

Shields shared the advice she gives Rowan: “Just never give up and keep moving forward.” She’s confident Rowan will be successful.

Rowan recently mentioned her mother’s short relationship with John F. Kennedy Jr. in a TikTok video.

Oh my gosh, I was completely mesmerized! This girl, with the most gorgeous strawberry blonde hair, was totally nailing the lip sync to ‘Boom Clap’! It was from Taylor’s 1989 tour, you know, the live performance with Charli XCX? Seriously, it was like watching the actual show all over again, she was that good.

In a 2023 interview on The Howard Stern Show, Brooke Shields revealed that John F. Kennedy Jr., often called the ‘prince of Camelot,’ was ‘one of the best kissers’ she’d ever known.

She revealed she had loved him as a child.

I was head over heels for him. My mom, Teri Shields, used to tell me ever since I was a little girl – around three years old – that he was the one I’d end up marrying.

Shields then recalled the time she and JFK Jr met during a skiing trip to Aspen, Colorado.

We all went out together as a family. Someone kept pointing out how much I resembled his mother, which was surprisingly flattering, though also a little strange and unsettling.

Shields admitted she was uncertain about going out with a man she had fancied for years.

She remembered actually going on a date with him, but she didn’t want to be intimate because she was developing strong feelings for him.

After having drinks with his family at a bar, the couple took a taxi back to John F. Kennedy Jr.’s cabin-like hotel room, where they kissed.

She described his kiss as the best she’d ever experienced. She was completely captivated by him – she found him not only physically attractive, with beautiful lips and an amazing face and body, but also genuinely kind, funny, and refreshingly unpretentious.

Shields admitted she had a strong crush on John F. Kennedy Jr., but she never told him how she felt. She explained that she was afraid to risk their friendship, worrying that a romantic relationship could ruin their connection. She didn’t want to say or do anything that might make him stop talking to her, as she valued their connection too much.

She continued, explaining that she wasn’t being manipulative. She was genuinely scared of getting deeply hurt. She felt that being intimate with him would mean giving him everything she had – her complete trust, her heart, and her whole self.

You know, after that particular incident, Stern asked me if John F. Kennedy Jr. ever spoke to me again. I actually saw him the very next day while we were skiing. But he completely avoided me – wouldn’t make eye contact, didn’t say a word. Honestly, it was in that moment I really saw his true personality come through.
