As a lifelong admirer of comedy and a dedicated follower of the genre, I can wholeheartedly attest to the unique bond shared between Rob Schneider and Adam Sandler. Their friendship, forged long before they graced our screens with their hilarious antics, is a testament to the power of camaraderie and shared humor.

comedian Rob Schneider recently shared insights into his special bond with Adam Sandler, mentioning that the renowned movie star consistently reaches out to him every week.

These two actors, known for their roles in over a dozen films such as “The Waterboy” and “Big Daddy”, were friends long before they achieved stardom. In the 90’s, they both appeared on the popular sketch comedy show, “Saturday Night Live”.

In an exclusive conversation with DailyMail.com, Rob shared insights on their long-lasting friendship. He mentioned that despite Adam Sandler being one of the highest-paid actors globally due to his extensive team, he cherishes their bond as if Adam were his real or adoptive brother.

He phoned me at eleven last night and asked, “How are you? How have you been?” For more than three decades, there hasn’t been a week that he hasn’t reached out to me, no matter where he was in the world – including Italy – and it’s truly wonderful because he is my brother.

Rob alleges that he has faced a certain level of unofficial exclusion within the entertainment industry following his open expressions of political views, including comments on the COVID-19 vaccine. However, Adam is reported to not harbor any resentment or prejudice towards him because of these matters.

Rob, the father of three, went on to say, ‘He doesn’t need to align with my views, but he stands by me because he values me as I am. I believe he saw past all the superficiality, and was free to act without concern for what is right or wrong, or if he should express himself or not.’

He steers clear of discussing the social and economic aspects of political matters, and we generally avoid that topic, as he affirmed. Then, he mentioned: ‘Often people ask me, “Have you lost friends due to this?” Yes, likely so, but wouldn’t it be dull to only have friends who share my same views?’

As a lifestyle expert, I can share an exciting update from my recent chat with Rob – he hinted at some major news concerning the upcoming sequel to Adam’s iconic 1996 movie, Happy Gilmore! Although he was tight-lipped on whether he’ll be reprising his role in the follow-up film, he did confirm that they’ve definitely had a conversation about it. So, golf fans like me are eagerly waiting to find out more details!

In simpler terms, Rob said, “I had a conversation with him. There are some individuals who are involved in it, and there are others he wishes for… He has a unique approach to his work… Therefore, instead of reading the script, he wants me to watch the initial edit, similar to how I saw the first cut of The Waterboy.

“I will wait to see his initial work, then share my thoughts, as he appreciates genuine laughter from me, which is exactly what he seeks.

Responding to a query about potentially creating another Deuce Bigalow movie, he expressed his fondness for the film’s zany nature, stating, “It was a madcap production, and despite its modest scale, we managed to pull it off. However, Disney, with their current approach, wouldn’t entertain such a project now.

‘Hopefully it will come around, I wanna make a couple more movies, I’ll see what happens.

Rob mentioned he was nearly done with a few additional pieces, then proceeded to discuss his upcoming memoir titled ‘You Can Do It! Speak Your Mind, America’,” or simply, “Rob indicated he was almost finished with some more work and went on to talk about his new memoir, You Can Do It! Speak Your Mind, America.

The book starts by delving into parts of Rob’s familial background and shares humorous incidents from his stint on Saturday Night Live, along with collaborations with Adam. However, Rob strongly advises Americans to actively safeguard their First Amendment freedoms, expressing concern that the right to free speech might be entirely eliminated.

He shared that the book held significant value for him and felt compelled to share it. If others are interested in hearing or reading it, he hopes it serves as a starting point for them.

This work isn’t a comprehensive tech manual on protests or free speech. Instead, it serves as an introduction, a starting point. For those who wish to delve deeper into the topic, there are more resources available.

Apart from confessing his apprehension, Rob additionally acknowledged that certain parts of his memoir required modifications following a legal review.
